As we worked our way down the California coast, Dolphin Isle Marina & RV Park looked like an easy and enjoyable stop. It’s located right off of Hwy 1 in Fort Bragg (the largest city on that stretch of the shoreline).

Location: Fort Bragg, California

GPS: 39.4319, -123.7959

Date / Temp: We spent three days in mid October at Dolphin Isle. The skies were mostly sunny with occasional fog and the temps were in the 70s.

Amenities: Our site was level and was equipped with full hookups. It overlooked a small river with occasional boat & kayak traffic. The park has a bathhouse on site with hot showers; they also have a deli and small general store.

Wifi / Cell: The park offers free wifi that was efficient for medium internet usage. When we wanted to stream movies, we switched to our T-Mobile hotspot (4 bars of 4G LTE).

Noise: The park was only 50% occupied during our stay, which created a peaceful environment. Some of the sites are close together, but everyone we met was kind and respectful – excessive noise doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Grocery / Errands: Errands are easy to complete; Fort Bragg offers multiple grocers, gas stations, restaurants, and retailers. Everything is within 5 miles of the RV park.

Dog Friendly: The park is dog friendly and offers space for walking and complimentary doggy waste bags. We saw a few dogs during our stay – most of them were leashed.

Entertainment: The main entertainment at Dolphin Isle is the stunning coast. There are hiking trails, kayak rentals, and beautiful beaches. We also enjoyed downtown Fort Bragg!
