Catherine’s Landing in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Hot Springs, Arkansas is one of our favorite stops as we journey out west from Alabama. Rather than staying at the National Park campground like we did during our last visit, we decided to try out Catherine’s Landing.

Here’s the Breakdown:

Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas

GPS34.4514, -93.0001

Date / Temp: We spent five days here in mid June. The summer heat was sweltering at times – with highs in the 90s and lots of humidity. We did have a few days of mild temps in the 80s.

Amenities: Catherine’s Landing has more amenities than any RV resort we’ve visited. They offer beautiful concrete pads with full hookups, a picnic table and fire pit. For those who enjoy the water, they have a large pool, a boat dock with kayaks and canoes, and plenty of reclining chairs for sun bathing! The resort also offers extensive hiking trails, a disc golf course, a zip line and many outdoor games.

Wifi / Cell: The park offers free wifi that is password protected, but easy to log in. We consistently received 3mbps down and 2mbps up.

Noise: The park is large and has a lot of activity going on during the day. We never felt the noise was invasive, but on Friday & Saturday nights, almost every site had folks grilling out and socializing. We enjoyed that community feel. Once the sun went down, the park also quieted down.

Grocery / Errands: Errands are easy to complete; shopping in Hot Springs in only a few miles away. We visited the post office and local grocer – the trips didn’t take long and traffic wasn’t an issue.

Dog Friendly: The park is dog friendly and offers lots of space for walking. We saw a few dogs during our stay – all were leashed and well behaved. There are doggy-waste station located throughout the grounds and a medium-sized, fenced dog park.

Entertainment: The park has so much to do that you don’t even have to leave! But, make sure to visit downtown Hot Springs and Hot Springs National Park. Both are less than 10 miles away. We absolutely loved DeLuca’s Pizza – it was truly one of the best pies we’ve ever had.

Nice post and break down of Hot Springs. I liked the way you broken down points of interest. Made it very easy to read. Not a whole lot going on in Arkansas, but it is a beautiful State.

It’s so cool to see your latest post! We picked Catherine’s Landing for our first stop on our summer road trip. Never been there…just picked it from a list. I’m glad to know we picked a good one! Thanks!
