Enchanted Trails RV Park on Historic Route 66

We finally made it to our first major destination on this stretch of the journey! We pulled into Albuquerque with hopes of exploring the old town and historic Route 66. Enchanted Trails RV Park was a great launching point for the adventure.

Here’s the Breakdown:

Location: Albuquerque, NM

GPS35.0601, -106.8099

Date / Temp: We camped here for three nights in late June. The temps were hot as heck during the days – but, the pool gave us some reprieve. Evening temps dropped into the 70s.

Amenities: This campground has lots of pull through, full hook up sites. The club house offers a laundry facility, rec room, bathrooms with showers and many Route 66 relics. There is a pool located at the front of the park – this was a welcomed amenity! Our favorite part of the park are the fully restored vintage campers. These campers are available to rent, but we were able to tour them and marvel over all the true-to-era touches.

Wifi / Cell: We received strong cellular signal from AT&T. Our T-Mobile signal was just OK. The park offers free wifi, but we were unable to successfully use it due to slow speeds.

Noise: The campground is located right off the interstate, which causes traffic noise at the front of the park. Once we drove back to our site, though, we were never bothered by the noise of the interstate.

Grocery / Errands: Albuquerque has all the grocery shopping we needed and more! We picked up our favorite coffee from Trader Joe’s and made a few trips to the post office. The park is located right outside of town, but a quick 10 mile drive on the interstate will put you right in the heart of the shopping.

Dog Friendly: Enchanted Trails is dog friendly and offers doggy bags throughout the grounds.

Entertainment: We really enjoyed exploring Old Town Albuquerque during our stay. There are numerous nature parks & monuments nearby too. But, if you just want to relax, look no further than the parks clubhouse where you can browse Route 66 relics and shoot a game of pool!

Old Town looks really nice. I’ll have to add it to my ever increasing list! I love how deliberately you shop. We’re the same way. We have a rule that for every new thing that comes in, something has to go out.

Rich is your number 1 fan now. He loved the video. The pool looks Olympic size. New camera 👍 Stay safe lv the Palma’s
