As our westward trek continued, we landed in Borrego Springs, California for a few days. Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort was a great way to pamper ourselves with full hookups & resort amenities after a month of boondocking!
The resort can accommodate all size rigs. They also have airstreams & vintage campers for rent and hotel rooms available.

Here’s the Breakdown:
Location: Borrego Springs, California
GPS: 33.2553, -116.3985
Date / Temp: We camped here for 5 nights in early November. The highs were in the 80s with lows in the 50s. The sunny days were slightly hotter than we expected, but the cool evenings were perfect for lounging in the hot tub!
Amenities: This resort offers MANY amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool & hot tub. There’s also a coffee shop, restaurant & bar onsite. And, if you need to do chores, there’s a laundry room and work-out facility available.
Wifi / Cell: We received a 4G LTE signal with both AT&T and T-Mobile (using our WeBoost Cell Booster). The speeds were ok. During peak hours we could notice slower web surfing speeds. The RV Resort also provides free wifi that is fast enough to stream Netflix… but, again, during peak hours the speeds slow down.
Noise: Palm Canyon is a large, family friendly facility. During the day there’s typical, good-spirited noise. After dark, however, we never noticed any loud neighbors.
Grocery / Errands: Downtown Borrego Springs is a mile away and offers small grocery stores. We recommend coming stocked up with food! But, all the shopping is nearby, making it easy to run small errands.
Dog Friendly: The resort is dog friendly and has many doggy waste stations located throughout the grounds.
Entertainment: We enjoyed exploring the sculptures in Borrego Springs. There’s also some bars and restaurants in town. Our favorite day-trip was a 30 mile drive up to Julian – a historic mining town sitting at 4000ft elevation. They’re known for their local apple pies & cider!
