After our visit to Oceanside, we continued north on the California coast and landed at Golden Shore RV Resort in Long Beach.

Long Beach is a coastal city with a population just under 500,000. The downtown district offers TONS of shopping, a beautiful harbor, an aquarium, and restaurants galore! Golden Shore RV Resort is located right in the heart of the city, no more than 3 miles from all the action.

Here’s the Breakdown:

Location: Long Beach, California

GPS: 33.7647, -118.2023

Date / Temp: We camped here for 2 nights in mid November. The highs were in the 70s with lows in the 50s. The weather was very comfortable! 

Amenities: This resort offers MANY amenities. But, most of all, it offers an amazing location if you’re exploring the area. There is a pool and hot tub, laundry room and gift shop onsite. Just outside the park is access to a waterfront bike trail.

Wifi / Cell: We received a 4G LTE signal with both AT&T and T-Mobile (using our WeBoost Cell Booster). The speeds were SUPER FAST.  The RV Resort also provides free wifi, as well.

Noise: The spaces are situated pretty close to each other, but we never noticed it being overly loud or noisy. This is a big city, though; vehicle traffic, air traffic and ambient urban noises are ever present.

Grocery / Errands: Many gas stations & stores are within a two mile radius. And, within ten miles, you can find any type of store you’re looking for.

Dog Friendly: The resort is dog friendly, but does have breed restrictions (check website for details). There is a small, fenced-in dog area.

Entertainment: We enjoyed exploring the city. But, with only two days at the park, we barely scratched the surface with all the entertainment options. Long Beach has plenty of entertainment for families and adults.
