9 Awesome RV Parks in Yuma AZ | 2020 Update

Yuma is a great winter getaway for anyone escaping the cold-weather-blues. Today we’re excited to share the 9 best RV Parks in Yuma AZ.

Most of these parks have amazing amenities. Being a snowbird hotspot, this desert town knows all about rest & relaxation. We’ve camped in and around Yuma for the last 4 winters…and plan on spending more time in this awesome border town!

In addition to providing the price, location and amenity info, we’ll also rank each RV park on our “Yuma RV Park Vibes” scale to give you an overall comparison.

Kofa Co-Op (Escapees RV Park)

Price: around $20/night ($350/month)

Why You’ll Love It: The Kofa Co-Op is one of the best Yuma RV parks for the price you pay. At $350 a month (plus utilities) – that’s just over 10 bucks a day for full hook ups! You do have to be an Escapees Member to stay here ($40ish a year), but the membership comes with a whole lot of benefits.

The Kofa Co-Op has a pool and activity center onsite. If you travel with a furry friend, they’ll love the HUGE dog park. Additionally, the park has scheduled activities every single day.

What’s The Word: Tammy on Campendium says, “We stayed two weeks at the rate of $100/week plus electric ($3 day average for electric – AC running most of the time). The park is about 5 miles from the military base, 8 miles from most other businesses, and about 25 miles from the Los Algodones border crossing. Very convenient for everything we needed!”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 8.3/10 Great facility and lots to do onsite!

Rivers Edge RV Resort

Price: around $35/night

Why You’ll Love It: Rivers Edge RV Resort is easy to access. Whether you’re in a van or a big rig, the park entrance is located right off the interstate and can accommodate all sizes. With that said, you will probably hear the rumble of the freeway. If you just plan to stay a night or two, the ease of access will likely outweigh the constant ambient noise.

What’s The Word: Life Rebooted on Campendium says, “There was no WiFi, and our cellular service was only OK. With two bars of Verizon LTE and one bar of AT&T LTE, we got data working on both but it was slow. The staff was friendly, and the park was clean and attractive. There was some highway noise from I-10 but it wasn’t too bad (it might depend on how close your site is to the highway).”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 6.2/10 Not the “overall best” on this list, but a great option for a few nights!

Yuma Lakes RV Resort

Price: $20-$45/night

Why You’ll Love It: Yuma Lakes RV Resort is great if you’re looking for an active community. They host daily activities that have great turn out!

On the flip side – it’s not super scenic. Not that Yuma is specifically scenic overall…its just that Yuma Lakes is more like “Yuma Ponds” (per a Campendium Reviewer).

What’s The Word: A recent reviewer on Campground Reviews says, “Very nice place. Level gravel sites. Heated pool & jacuzzi. Full hook-ups but 30 amp only. Some pull-thru’s. Plenty of space between sites. No wifi or cable. Many planned activities.”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 7.2/10 Again, no the best of the list, but great if you desire an active community!

Araby Acres RV Resort

Price: $20-$50 (Varies greatly due to Thousand Trails Membership)

Why You’ll Love It: Are you a Thousand Trails member? If so, you’ll love this park! Non-members can definitely stay, but it won’t be for free (or cheap) like member prices. Even though Araby Acres RV Resort didn’t make out Top Thousand Trails Campgrounds in the USA List – it is by far, one of the best RV parks in Yuma!

The amenities include – pool, spa, library, bike trails and a fitness center.

What’s The Word: Jim James on Campendium says, “The park is a Thousand Trails Encore associate. It is also “age restricted” which means at least one person must be 55 years old. This is definitely not a place for families with kids as there are no facilities for them and the rules are pretty restrictive for anyone under 18.”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 7.2/10 Good amenities and ideal for 55+ RVers

Desert Paradise RV Resort

Price: around $35/night

Why You’ll Love It: This resort really knows how to create a luxurious location. The onsite pool is awesome. It has lots of reclining chairs for sunbathing and the pool is large enough for aerobics.

This is another Thousand Trails campground, members will get big savings here! Desert Paradise also participates in the Passport America Discount – save 50% (but restrictions apply).

What’s The Word: A recent reviewer on Campground Reviews says, “This Park has a very friendly clientele who return year-after-year. With on-going friendships, they take active role in organizing events, trips, dinners, in and around the park. As first-timer, we were warmly welcomed within 10 minutes, invited for coffee, and included in many events. Best we’ve ever found in 9 years of RVing – and We’ll Return!!”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 8.7/10 Awesome staff & epic pool area!

Foothill Village RV Resort

Price: around $35

Why You’ll Love It: If you’re looking for a small, cozy RV resort, this is the place for you. Most of the RV parks in Yuma AZ have 100s of sites, with narrow parking areas. Foothill Village will give you a different experience.

There’s also a pool and spa onsite for your soaking enjoyment!

What’s The Word: A recent Campground Reviews post says, “This is a small park in Yuma filled with very nice folks who mostly seem like seasonal residents. The sites are gravel with a concrete pad and room to park. Our Verizon and ATT services worked well. The heated pool and hot tub were really nice for nightly soaks.”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 8.4/10 Friendly & cozy!

Cactus Gardens RV Resort

Price: around $50

Why You’ll Love It: Are you 55+ and looking for a little peace & quiet? You may love Cactus Gardens RV Resort. This age restricted park focuses on community building…and no children running around!

The pool is used for recreation and exercise. There are mailbox options for longer-term guests. And, best of all, the park is dog friendly (doggy doesn’t have to be 55+ 😂)

What’s The Word: Here’s what a reviewer on Campground Reviews says, “Nice, comfortable park. We were here after most snow-birds hit the road, so it wasn’t crowded. Very friendly staff, great pool and hot tub. Shade trees at each site, but need to grow a little more. The Wi-Fi is in the library and is available till 8:30 p.m.”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 7.3/10 Pools, spas, no kids!

Mesa Verde RV Resort

Price: around $45

Why You’ll Love It: Pools, spas, dancing, live entertainment and a weekly potluck are just a few of the amenities and activities at this epic park!

Not only does Mesa Verde RV Resort have great amenities, the location is also ideal for restaurants and shopping.

What’s The Word: A recent post on Campground Reviews says, “Lots of daily activities. This park is more suitable for seasonal guests. There is only a limited amount of sites available for overnight and you should call first for availability.”

Yuma RV Parks Vibe: 8.2/10 Weekly dances! Woohoo

The Palms RV Resort

Price: around $50

Why You’ll Love It: With almost 500 RV sites, The Palms RV Resort is more like a gated, luxury village. Their pool and activity center are top notch. The community stays active and has daily planned (and organic) activities.

If you want to make new friends and camp in luxury, give The Palms a try!

What’s The Word: Bud on Campground Reviews says, “This is the nicest RV resort we have ever stayed in. The sites are spacious with a paved patio, the grounds are immaculate, tons of things to do, a restaurant and bar poolside, designated lap pool plus large pebbletec play pool, barbecues every other weekend with bands, concerts…just a spectacular place.”
