9 Amazing Destin Florida RV Parks (with YouTube Video Tours)

If you’re searching for the best Destin Florida RV parks, you’ve come to the right spot! We love white sandy beaches and fresh seafood. Destin has all of that and more.

From luxury RV resorts to scenic state parks, we’re sharing the absolute best campgrounds in the area. In addition to price & amenity info, we’ll also rank each campground on our unique “Destin Florida RV Park Vibes” scale. This will help you compare each site head-to-head

Let’s dive in!

RV Parks in Destin Florida
RV Parks in Destin Florida

Live Oak Landing

Price: around $100+/night

Why You’ll Love It: This is a luxury RV park without all the tourist action. With that said, Live Oak Landing is about 25 miles from Destin. We included it on this list because if you like peace & quiet, you’ll love this park (and still be close enough to the beach).

The modern pool is our favorite onsite amenity. They also offer boat & bike rentals…but, we’ll just bring our foldable kayak and launch it from their boat launch.

They have cabins available for rent if you have non-RVer family members joining you!

What’s The Word: Ron on Campground Reviews says, “Close to a couple of nice public beaches without the beachfront prices. The cottages are very nice too. The pool is screened so bugs are not a problem. Nice place, definitely will stay again.”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 8.5/10 Awesome park – if you want to be in the heart of Destin, choose another campground.

Topsail Hill State Preserve

Price: $42/night

Why You’ll Love It: At Topsail Hill State Preserve you get all the nature-vibes without the beach traffic. Although this is a State run park, there are still lots of amenities onsite. Bicycling, paddling, fishing, hiking and geocaching are a few of the activities you can do at Topsail.

This campground is 14 miles from the heart of Destin. However, the less popular (and more beautiful) Santa Rosa Beach is only a few miles away.

What’s The Word: A recent Campground Reviews post says, “This is a great park! We met our son and his family here for a quick vacation. Site 74 backs up to a good sized, fresh water pond that my hubby and grandkids were pulling fish from. Hubby was out there over an hour this morning catching all different sizes of fresh water fish. Tram runs every 30 minutes during summer high season, taking you down to the boardwalk over the dunes. Just a short walk from there to the jewel colored ocean and white sand beach.”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 9.3/10 Beautiful & rustic!

Emerald Beach RV Park

Price: $75 and up

Why You’ll Love It: Beach front, baby! This park puts you right on the water. Even though it’s 22 miles from the heart of Destin, you’ll have all the beach vibes you want.

We always recommend staying a little bit outside of Destin because the crowds (especially high schoolers on break), can be a little overwhelming.

Emerald Beach RV Park provides a heated pool, dog park with waterfront access and a private white sandy beach.

What’s The Word: Michelin on Campgrounds Reviews says, “We spent a wonderful week here and should have stayed longer! Great RV Park, office staff are friendly and helpful. We had site 71 right at the end of the row, next to pier and above the beach with it’s own little patio. It over looked the beach and the Sound. Fenced in dog park and they had their own beach.”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 9.1/10 Awesome waterfront site with peace & quiet.

Camp Gulf

Price: $150 and up

Why You’ll Love It: Camp Gulf gets you close to the action. At less than 10 miles from Destin, the nightly rate reflects its proximity. Let’s not forget, Camp Gulf is located directly on the white sandy beaches!

The onsite pool is more like a mini-water park. There’s also an activity center and kayak rentals available.

What’s The Word: Piston9 on Campground Reviews says, “As the marketers say – location, location, location. Stayed in site 610 for 5 nights then moved to 812 for our final night. We paid dearly for it, but do not regret a single dollar for the beachfront location. As others have noted, beachfronts do not have sewer, but there is a honeywagon. Destin traffic is terrible though, roadworks not helping. We barely left the park!”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 8.9/10 Beautiful park near all the action!

Henderson Beach State Park

Price: $30 and up

Why You’ll Love It: Henderson Beach State Park plops you right in the heart of Destin and gives you a good dose of nature. Sure, this park will be covered with beach-going tourists…but, that’s ok because that’s why you’ll be there, too!

The $28 rate is a great deal. You better book your site ASAP, they’ll fill up quick.

What’s The Word: Lance on Campground Reviews says, “This park is next to US Hwy 98 between the highway and the beach. The beach is about a 1/4 mile walk from the campground along a scenic boardwalk. The campground has many spacious campsites with lots of large pull-through sites. This park seems to be especially popular with big rigs. Super clean bath house.”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 8.4/10 The best bang for your buck…if you can get reservations!

Grayton Beach State Park

Price: $30 and up

Why You’ll Love It: Please take our suggestion…camp outside of Destin! Grayton Beach State Park is yet another amazing campground (within 25 miles of Destin) with beach vibes and way less tourist traffic.

There are awesome restaurants nearby – Shunk Gulley is our favorite – and great local boutiques. Not to mention, the beach front access and shaded RV sites are a perfect combo.

What’s The Word: Nomad Reign on Campendium says, “Beautiful white sand beaches, long paved biking trails, sandy wooded trails to hike in, and a couple satisfactory coffee shops in town. For those who want more of the privileged life, a short and safe bike ride to Seaside through Watercolor might be in the cards. Plenty of shopping abounds, as well as restaurants and bars galore.”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 10/10 Among the best on the list!

Navarre Beach Campground

Price: around $80

Why You’ll Love It: Waterfront sites and actual high speed internet provided by the campground for free! Now that’s a good combo. Navarre Beach Campground also features a fitness center, large pier, dog park and great spots for large group camping!

We like this campground because it’s located on the Santa Rosa Sound, a relaxing substitute to the sunny gulf beaches.

What’s The Word: Madi on Campendium says, “Very clean and friendly campground right on the beach. Newer pier, 24hr laundry, rec room, workout room, planned activities daily, dumpsters nearby, dog walk, propane refill station on site. Cabin and tent sites available, mixed parking pads, some concrete, gravel or sand. Walmart is conveniently located right across the street, great food nearby (our favorite- Slippery Mermaid Sushi Bar)”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 7.2/10 A little bit of a drive to Destin, but super relaxing!

Santa Rosa RV Resort

Price: $75 and up

Why You’ll Love It: This luxury RV resort features awesome pull through sites, lush green grass and white sandy beaches. You get it all at Santa Rosa RV Resort! There’s also a pool, fishing pier, fitness room and dog beach onsite.

Located 20 miles from Destin, Santa Rosa RV Resort is a wonderful choice to get you close to the action, but far enough away for peace and quiet.

What’s The Word: A reviewer on Campground Reviews says, “We stayed in a site right on the Santa Rosa Sound so the view was beautiful. The sites are clean and semi-spacious. My husband and boys were able to fish right near our site. The pool is clean and did not feel too crowded. There is a small beach area to walk along or launch your kayak from. We enjoyed walking and riding our bikes around the loop.”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 7.9/10 Luxury and privacy!

Geronimo RV Resort

Price: around $75 and up

Why You’ll Love It: If you are determined to camp right in Destin, Geronimo RV Resort is the park for you. This list has lots of better parks and resorts on it, but when it comes to location…this is the closest.

You’ll be close to the shopping, dinning and beaches of Destin. You’ll have to fight the tourist crowds. But, like we said earlier, you’ll be in the heart of the action!

What’s The Word: A recent reviewer on Campground Reviews says, “In my opinion, it’s the best park in the area if you have dogs and want to go to the beach. Since dogs are not allowed on the beach, then at least you are near by and can check on them regularly”

Destin Florida RV Park Vibes: 8.1/10 Location, location, location!

I really enjoy reading your content in that it is informative and current. It is getting more expensive to RV when you consider rising costs for campsites, RV insurance, maintenance etc. Another problem is if you are a senior and in a Medicare Advantage Plan, you may not find coverage if out of your home state other than for an emergency. The US healthcare system is quite inefficient and expensive as it is let alone not being able to receive other than emergency care while traveling and have it covered.
