Will include price, amenity and location info for each park. Additionally, each site will have a unique “Corpus Christie RV Parks Vibe” score to give you easy “head to head” comparisons!

Let’s dive in.

Corpus Christie Campgrounds

Corpus Christie Campgrounds

Colonia del Rey RV Park

Price: $36 – $48

Why You’ll Love It: Colonia del Rey is centrally located to all the best Corpus Christie attractions. The park is 8 miles from the Padre Island National Seashore and just a mile from great restaurants and shopping.

The onsite amenities are also a huge selling point. You’ll find a pool, rec hall, library and fish cleaning stations within the park. The premium pull through sites are up to 80 feet long, making it easy for big rig parking!

The main downside is the proximity of RV sites to each other. Even with the premium RV sites, you’ll have nearby neighbors.

What’s The Word: RL on Campendium says, “It’s super convenient to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and has a close-by Walmart. Less than 10 minutes to the East and you’re on the beaches of Padre or Mustang Islands. Less than 10 minutes to the West and you’re in a major shopping/dining district for the area. I arrived after office hours and there were posted maps with assigned sites taped to the office door, asking that you check-in when the office opened the next morning.”

Corpus Christi RV Parks Vibe: 6.8/10 Solid choice in Corpus Christie!

Padre Balli Park

Price: around $25

Why You’ll Love It: This county park plops you directly on the beach! The 50+ full hook up sites are level and easy to access. Overall, quite possibly the best full-service RV park on north Padre Island.

Padre Balli Park is within walking distance to the public pier – its has a bar & restaurant on it! We’re a big fan of this park. However, because it’s operated by the county, the amenities aren’t on par with nearby RV resorts.

What’s The Word: A recent Campendium reviewer says, “Me and my family have been here several times we truly enjoy it you are literally a 34 minute walk from the beach there’s a restaurant there also that has live music at night and there is also a fishing pier I would highly recommend this as a stop over if you’re ever in Corpus Christi”

Corpus Christi RV Parks Vibe: 8.4/10 Beach front camping with full hook ups!

Laguna Shore Village RV Park

Price: around $40/night

Why You’ll Love It: This is a “no frills’ RV park with great beach front access. You can park in one of their many full hookup sites and easily explore Padre Island & Corpus Christie.

Laguna Shore does offer wifi, cable, laundry, bath houses and a rec room.

If you’re looking for an extended RV stay, the monthly rate of $485 seems like a sweet deal!

What’s The Word: Lee and Patti on Campground Reviews say, “Enjoyed our 2 day stay. Staff was very friendly and informative. Location was close to beach, restaurants, etc. The residential area around park was very nice and we felt quite safe while staying there and safe for our trailer staying there when we were out eating and sight-seeing. It is not a fancy place but it was clean and well-kept and does have all the necessities. ”

Corpus Christi RV Parks Vibe: 7.2/10 Great bang for your buck!

Corpus Christie RV Park FamCamp

Price: $20/ night with restrictions. This is a military campground. You have to meet one of the following requirements to camp here: Active, National Guard, Reservists, Retired, 100% DAV. DoD Civilians, Public (with MWR Guest Card). Call (361) 961-2267 for information on the MWR Guest Card.

Why You’ll Love It: The price can’t be beat, especially with beach access! The sites are large & spacious, with full hook ups. Best of all, this park can accommodate RVs of all sizes.

The onsite amenities are fairly basic. They have a shower house, laundry room, snack bar, fishing areas and boat rentals.

What’s The Word: A recent post on Campground Reviews says, “Nice clean park with wide concrete sites. Our back-in was just long enough for our 42′ 5th wheel but the width gave us plenty of room to park the truck. Free wi-fi, no cable ( but satellite worked great), picnic table, free laundry and very spacious. Lots of open areas with pavilions and picnic tables. Plenty of room to walk the dog or ride your bike. Small commissary and exchange on base.”

Corpus Christi RV Parks Vibe: 8.2/10 Great park & economical price – but, not open to the public.

Malaquite Campground

Price: $14 (if you have a senior pass, you’ll receive 50% off)

Why You’ll Love It: National Park campgrounds are known for offering the best camping locations…Malaquite Campground proves this point! It’s situated directly on the beach, inside the boundaries of Padre Island National Seashore.

The downside it that this is dry camping – meaning you won’t have electric, water or sewer hookups. However, you can dump & fill your tanks at the park entrance. There’s also a bath house with showers available.

What’s The Word: Dea on Campendium says, “This is an incredibly clean and nice beach for family. We visited on a Saturday in Spring; and there were not a lot of swimmers; but many people just out enjoying the area… like walking the dog. The campgrounds are quite a ways from the beach. We camped primitively directly on North Beach because the sand was too soft at South Beach, at the time, for the two-wheel drive sedan. Had a wonderful time for a windy spring day.”

Corpus Christi RV Parks Vibe: 9.4/10 Best views in the area!

Padre Palms RV Park

Price: $45

Why You’ll Love It: This waterfront park offers full hookups and resort style amenities. The pads are level, concrete and wide. Onsite you’ll find these amenities: a pool, shower house, rec hall and book exchange.

If you’re interested in kayaking, this could be a great spot to check out. We travel with a foldable kayak – easy to transport!

This is a solid choice if you want to be near the water. The price and amenities offer you a pretty good value camping experience.

What’s The Word: Bob on Campground Reviews says, “Park was well maintained, but it is smaller than some. Adequate space for our 3 slides. 31′ MH with tow easily fit on the pad.”

Corpus Christi RV Parks Vibe: 6.8/10 Near the water & good price.

Rockport Oaks RV Park

Price: $35/night

Why You’ll Love It: This is an “ownership park”, meaning individuals buy the lots and can opt to stay at them or rent them out. The $35 nightly rate is an average price, but the monthly rate of $275 is a steal!

Rockport Oaks can accommodate RVs of all sizes. The sites have full hook ups, and owners can opt to add cabanas and covered parking to the sites.

What’s The Word: Doc on Camprgound Reviews says, “This is a relatively new ownership park south of Rockport. Although most sites are occupied by owners, some unsold lots (and some unoccupied, owned ones) are available for rental. The developer, who is also the rental manager, prefers longer term rentals but short term stays are possible. The sites are large (~3,000 sq ft) and the park is landscaped with dozens of mature live oak trees. No restrooms or showers, but there is a modest sized laundry facility. Free wifi is available but not all that reliable. Excellent cellular reception on all major carriers. If you are not looking for Rockport’s typical snowbird parks with lots of activities you might find this park a refreshing change.”

Corpus Christi RV Parks Vibe: 8.7/10 Monthly rates are amazing!

Corpus Christie Trip Planning for RVers

When you’re planning RV travels, its VERY important to use the proper tools. We recommend using tools that route trips according to your unique RV size restrictions.

RV Trip Wizard is our go to tool because it only routes us where our RV will fit. There no fear of being surprised by low clearances…a common issue when traveling to places like Corpus Christie.

RV Trip Wizard also lets us enter our travel preferences, like: ideal miles a day, hook up requirements and daily budget. From these preferences it shows us only the spots we’re interested in seeing.

There are other RV routing options, like this stand-alone GPS navigation system. It’s more expensive than RV Trip Wizard, but works well as a hardwired-permanent option.
