It’s Christmas time, again 🎄 We love experiencing the holiday season in our RV. It gives us the chance to take part in seasonal events throughout the USA. Today we’re excited to share the 10 best RV parks for Christmas!
Not only are these amazing RV parks (located in warm winter weather), they also have local events to make your Christmas season extra special.
We’ll share price, amenity, event and location info for each featured park. Additionally, each site will have a unique “RV Christmas Vibes” score for easy head to head comparison.

#1 Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort
Price: $52 and up
Location: Borrego Springs, California
Why You’ll Love It: Tucked away in the So Cal desert, Palm Canyon RV Resort is a hidden gem – great for a Christmas weekend getaway.
This resort offers many amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool & hot tub. There’s also a coffee shop, restaurant & bar onsite. And, if you need to do chores, there’s a laundry room and work-out facility available.
Despite its remote location, the luxury vibes are strong at Palm Canyon. It was named among the 11 most luxurious RV campgrounds in America.
Nearby Christmas Activities: The key reason we selected Palm Canyon RV Resort for our Christmas list is because its proximity to Julian, California. Known for its amazing Julian Apple Pie, this mountain town has lots of Christmas activities!

#2 Skidaway Island State Park
Price: $40 and up
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Why You’ll Love It: This is a beautiful state park with spacious camping sites and numerous hiking trails. It’s so beloved among campers that its received the “Campers Choice” award from Campendium two years in a row! It’s also on our list of Best Savannah Campgrounds.
In addition to the 87 camping sites (tents, RVs & trailers), Skidaway Island State Park also offers cabins, picnic shelters, group campsites and a group shelter with 150 seats.
Nearby Christmas Activities: Savannah is host to Christmas activities for the whole family. Beginning in late November you can view the “December Nights & Holiday Lights” – a self guided walking tour of Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens.

#3 Fort Wilderness

Location: Disney World, Orlando, Florida
Why You’ll Love It: This might be the very best RV park in America. What else would you expect from a Disney property?! It has all the best amenities you could want and direct access to the Disney Parks in Florida.
If you love Disney & RV Life, this is a must visit RV park…especially during Christmas.
Nearby Christmas Activities: To put it lightly, Disney World hosts a completely overwhelming number of Christmas events. Each park has multiple holiday activities from November to January.

RV Christmas Vibes: 10/10 Totally epic Christmas!
#4 El Cosmico
Price: $75 and up
Location: Marfa, Texas
Why You’ll Love It: It’s got those bohemian vibes! Marfa, Texas is a funky desert town, and El Cosmic is a perfect representation of that funk.
They have multiple Airstream trailers for rent onsite. In fact, El Cosmico is on the list of best “Airstream Hotels” in America. The park hosts many activities; themed appropriately weird! Cosmic Karaoke, Hot Dogs & Corn Hole, and Big Sky Yoga are among their upcoming events.
Nearby Christmas Activities: Marfa is home to two major holiday events. The Giant Holiday Weekend includes kids Christmas crafts, holiday painting and wine party, theater performances and local vendors. The Winter Solstice Viewing at Chinati is a cultural event you won’t want to miss.

#5 Stella Mare RV Resort
Price: $44 and up
Location: Galveston, TX
Why You’ll Love It: Talk about new and beautiful – Stella Mare is an absolute winner! Every single site is a huge concrete pad surrounded by lush, green grass. Any rig should be able to fit at this campground.
The resort is walking distance to the Gulf of Mexico. In fact, it’s just across the street. The luxurious swimming pool has views of it from the deck.
In addition to the RV sites, Stella Mare offers vacation rentals for your non-RVing family members.
Nearby Christmas Activities: Galveston is a wonderful town to spend any holiday. Christmas is extra special on the island, though! You can take a ride on the Polar Express Train, view the festival of lights and attend many holiday concerts.

#6 Fiesta Key RV Resort
Price: $129- $173
Location: Long Key, FL
Why You’ll Love It: Fiesta Key is a beautiful 28 acre Resort with Full hook-up sites. It has waterfront back-in sites available. There’s an on site marina, pool, spa, playground restaurant and bar. Nearby attractions are Long Key State Park and Dolphin Research Center.
In fact, Fiesta Key is one of the top RV parks in the Florida Keys!
Nearby Christmas Activities: Up and down the keys you’ll find lots of Christmas events. Key West’s busy holiday season includes lighting of the Harbor Walk of Lights, Holiday Historic Inn Tours and a lighted boat parade with festively lit vessels and good cheer.
You may also like Zonta’s Festival of Trees, Stock Island Boat Parade, Rudolph Red Nosed 5k and Winter Wonderland at Crane Point Museum.

Why You’ll Love It: Location is the biggest asset of this RV resort. It’s a block away from the Pacific Ocean and walking distance to The Strand (Oceanside’s waterfront park).
Paradise by the Sea also offers lots of amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor community area; it has lots of seating and large propane fire tables. There’s also a pool, hot tub, and laundry room onsite
Security is great at this RV Park. They have a gated, password protected entryway and a full time security staff.
Nearby Christmas Activities: Spending Christmas next to the Pacific Ocean is simply awesome! The town’s holiday-events will keep you busy from November to January. Some of the most popular seasonal activities are Ranch Christmas, Merry Makers Fair, Sip and Shop, Boat Rides with Santa, and Parade of Lights.

RV Christmas Vibes: 9.3/10 Pacific Ocean Christmas 🤟
#8 Island Retreat RV Park
Price: $50 and Up
Location: Gulf Shores, Alabama
Why You’ll Love It: Take it from us (we’re spending December here), this RV park and overall area is perfect for winter camping!
There are a few key reasons Island Retreat RV Park is amazing. Firstly, its location is close to the beach and has boat launching access across the street. Secondly, the wifi is super fast and reliable. We received at least 20mb down (even during the busiest hours) with the campground’s wifi network. Thirdly, the park connects to a huge, paved trail system for biking and walking.
Nearby Christmas Activities: From orchestra concerts to Christmas boat parades, this coastal community will get you in the holiday spirit without breaking the bank!
The key events include Ice Skating at The Wharf, Merry Market, Photos with Santa, and the FloraBama Holiday Bash.

#9 Southern Comfort Camping Resort
Price: $45 and up
Location: Biloxi, Mississippi
Why You’ll Love It: Believe it or not, Mississippi has beautiful beached. Southern Comfort Camping Resort is located right on Beach Boulevard in downtown Biloxi.
The park offers full hookup RV sites with wifi. Its also a pet friendly park. In fact, we think Southern Comfort is the best bang for your buck in the area.
Nearby Christmas Activities: You can kick off the Holiday Season with Martina McBride’s Joy of Christmas concert. If you’re looking for great entertainment, then the Annual Biloxi Christmas in the City event should be your destination. An array of bands, choirs, and dancers will put you in the holiday spirit.
RV Christmas Vibes: 7.3/10 Economical, Festive and Coastal!
#10 Sentinel Peak RV Park
Price: around $40
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Why You’ll Love It: Location, location. location! This RV Park sets you up within walking distance of downtown Tucson. We can vouch for its proximity; during our stay at Sentinel Peak we walked downtown multiple times.
The sites are full hookup and the park provides a central activity room with bathroom. There’s also a small pool onsite.
Nearby Christmas Activities: Despite its warm desert climate, Tucson is host to many awesome holiday events. Key activities include Enchanted Snowfall, Zoo Lights, Holiday Festival, Sugar Plum Tea and Luminaria Nights.
