RV Fire Damages Nearby New-Car Dealership Inventory

An RV parked on the street in Monrovia, California, burst into flames, damaging nearby Mini Coopers.

A video shows what seems to be a Lazy Daze Class C RV parked less than 20 feet from a new car lot.

The nearby Mini Coopers suffered significant smoke damage.

As CNN, Forbes, The New York Times, and Wall Street Journal report on the RV craze this summer, these unfortunate RV mishaps are rising.

RV newbies are experiencing dangerous wildlife encounters, increased vandalism, improper waste disposal, and trail accidents.

According to RMG News, the source of the fire video footage, no injuries were reported.

Ways to Prevent A Fire in Your RV

If you’re a new RVer (or even an experienced RVer), we encourage you to follow these electric-system best practices. They will potentially save you from an RV fire and have you more prepared to hit the road.

Additionally, as a full time RVers over the last five years, my wife and I make it a point to travel with multiple fire extinguishers. These are the small units we use. Stopping a fire before it gets out of control is key.

If you don’t have a fire extinguisher onboard, you’ll be helpless to control the situation early.
