What is the 4×4 Nexus Rebel Super C RV?

Already a big name in the RV business, Nexus has a heavy focus on the Super C segment of the market with its highly popular models like the Triumph, Wraith and Ghost. Its latest model may also be its greatest. The Nexus Rebel, available in a 30-foot version or a 34-footer, has four-wheel-drive capabilities for better traction. But no matter where you’re headed, you’ll get there in comfort and style.

Like other Super Cs, the 4×4 Nexus Rebel is larger than a traditional Class C RV, with a wider wheel base. This extra space gives them many or all of the luxuries you’d expect in a Class A motorhome but with much more nimble handling.

What’s So Special About the 4×4 Nexus Rebel?

The colorful, boldly striped 4×4 Rebel is a smooth-riding powerhouse that tows up to 15,000 pounds. It’s built on an all-steel frame and has seamless gel-coat Adzel composite walls inside and out. Underneath is an International chassis with a 6-speed Allison transmission and an easy-to-access 350-horsepower Duramax diesel engine. (This is a big selling point because, should you ever need one, it should be easy to find a mechanic that’s well familiar with these motors).

Two models are available – the 30R model that measures out at 30 feet, 11 inches, and the 34R, which is a bit longer at 34 feet, 11 inches.

The Nexus Rebel sleeps seven and has one slide. It has a full kitchen with a full-sized fridge, three-burner cook top and a conventional oven as well as a microwave. This super RV has two air conditioning units (on the fiberglass roof) with aluminum ducts and a heating system with vents in the walls rather than the floor. Running along the length of the body are lots of separate storage compartments.

4×4 Nexus Rebel Floorplans

Two different base floorplans are available, but customers can also have their 4×4 Nexus Rebel customized with different features and décor choices. A look at the floorplans shows a bunk over the cab area in the front. Behind it are two theater-style seats in a nice position to watch an overhead television. (There’s an exterior tv, too, and another in the spacious master bedroom.)

Behind this area is the kitchen, which also comes equipped with a double-sided stainless steel sink, and then a roomy bathroom that includes a full-size shower, medicine cabinet and dual-control faucets. The master bedroom is at the rear.

A careful scrutiny of the different floorplans shows a bit more space in the bathroom and bedrooms in the larger Nexus 34R model. While the 30R has a queen-sized bed, the 34R has a mattress that measures 60 by 80 inches.

Is the 4×4 Nexus Rebel the Best Super C RV Out There?

With these kinds of numbers on performance and these amazing specs and features, it’s easy to see why many folks believe that the 4×4 Rebel is the best Super C RV on the market today. Of course, whether it’s the best one for you is a question that only you can answer because it depends on your specific needs and taste. After all, it’s a lot of money to spend (the MSRP 30R is $232,084 while the price we’ve seen for the 34R is $243,319).

Everybody has their own wish list when it comes to RV features, and for some the fact that there’s not a washer/dryer is a deal breaker. Another quibble we’ve heard about the 4×4 Nexus Rebel is that it’s not prepped for solar panels.

Regardless of any complaints about what the 4×4 Nexus Rebel doesn’t have, there’s no question that it brings a lot to the party. While it may not be entirely clear that the 4×4 Nexus Rebel is the absolute best Super C RV on today’s market, we can’t say for sure that we’ve seen one that’s better. There’s no question that Nexus’ newest model is a game changer, and there are plenty of good reasons why it’s turning so many heads.
