Can You Tow a Trailer with a Honda CR-V?

Yes, in most cases, you can tow with the Honda CR-V as long as your trailer is under the 1,500-pound towing capacity of this vehicle. To tow, you’ll need to equip your Honda CR-V with a tow hitch.

What Campers can the Honda CR-V Tow?

If a trailer is under 1,500 for total weight, the Honda CR-V can most likely tow it. Your best bet is to look into small travel trailers, pop-up campers, or teardrop campers, as these come with the lowest weights across RVs.

A few choices for CR-V towing include the teardrop campers Polydrop and the Oregon Trail’r FronTear. Travel trailers to consider include the Meerkat and the TAXA Outdoor TigerMoth.

For pop-up campers, you could research using the CR-V to tow the Sylvan Sport GO trailer, the Aliner Ranger 12.

These all come in well under the 1,500-pound weight limit for the CR-V and you should be able to tow them. And these options are just a start as the RV industry has come a long way in offering lightweight trailers in recent years.

So as you can see, although there are some limitations, there are still plenty of trailers a Honda CR-V can tow.
