Miranda Lambert’s Airstream Damaged in Hit & Run on Atlanta Interstate
The pandemic has thrown a wrench in everyone’s plans, from regular people to celebrities alike. Some celebrities have taken to RV life, like Miranda Lambert and her husband.
In May 2020, Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin revealed they were hitting the road in a brand new Airstream RV since she couldn’t play any shows.
Upon revealing the new RV, Miranda posted on Instagram: “When people ask me questions about all the traveling I’ve done, my answer is pretty much the same every time. ‘I’ve been everywhere, but I haven’t seen much of anything.”
Lambert and Mcloughlin even affectionately named their new Airstream ‘The Sheriff’. Miranda said: “Just because I can’t travel and play shows doesn’t mean I can’t travel and make music.”
And traveling they’ve been doing, until a hit and run incident in early 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Miranda Lambert’s Airstream Damaged in Hit And Run
Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan have been traveling in their new Airstream and recently went from Tennessee to North and South Carolina.
On their way home back to Nashville, the couple had to drive through Atlanta, Georgia.
Any RVer who has driven through Atlanta can tell you what a stressful nightmare driving a rig through that city can be. There are several lanes of traffic and Atlanta drivers can be merciless. And, that definitely sounds like the case here.
According to Lambert:
“Unfortunately on the way home going through Atlanta, an ass hole in a small car with temp plates was driving erratically and tried to squeeze between us and a semi truck going 70 on I-20W. It hit the Airstream on the passenger side and sent us into the left lane. We fishtailed pretty good but got on the shoulder as quickly as possible to assess the damage. Nobody was hurt thank the good Lord. But nobody stopped either and the car sped away. (Cool Bro)”

Airstream Damaged; No Personal Injuries
In her Instagram Post, Lambert said that while there were no personal injuries, the Airstream was in fact damaged.
But, thanks to Airstream and Southland RV, it looks like the couple will be fixed up and back on the road in no time!

The realities of driving a home down the road are the same no matter who you are. Lambert and McLoughlin got lucky, and we’re so glad to hear the damage was minimal and no one was hurt!
Despite the accident, it’s clear the couple is enjoying the RV life and the peace and inspiration found only on the road.

I was driving a Cortez motorhome around the East Atlanta 285 bypass in 5 o’clock traffic. A universal joint broke on the driveshaft and we coasted to a stop in the middle lane! Within a couple minutes a wrecker pulled in front of us, hooked up and hauled us to the nearest exit. This wrecker driver was one of the bravest people we’ve ever met and was the answer to our prayers at that moment! So happy you made it off the road safely!
