What is a CyberLandr Tesla Camper?

What is a CyberLandr Tesla Camper?

The Tesla Cybertruck is a fully electric, high-powered pickup truck by Tesla currently in pre-sales. The Tesla camper is called CyberLandr, and this RV is a concept by a Las Vegas-based software and AI company.

In this article, we’ll take a closer look at both the Cybertruck and Cyberlandr.

Let’s dive in!

Is There a Tesla Camper?

The Cyberlandr is a proposed Tesla camper to pair with the Cybertruck. The Tesla Cybertruck release date has moved to 2022, so there are no Cyberlandrs currently on the road.

Las Vegas-based Stream It, Inc., a software and AI company, owns the Cyberlandr. The camper is a pop-up style that fits in the bed of the Tesla Cybertruck. There are several tiers for pre-orders on the CyberLandr website, and many are already sold out.

A Look Inside the Tesla RV

It’s unclear if they’ve built any actual CyberLandr models yet, but you can find mockups online and on YouTube. The CyberLandr is a four-tiered vertically-expanding pop-up camper for the Cybertruck bed. When the camper is in travel mode, it doesn’t add any more height to the Cybertruck.

On the inside, you’ll find a chef’s kitchen with a sink, colander, wash bin, and cutting board. The kitchen has a smart faucet that includes touch and voice control. For cooking, try the invisible induction cooktop underneath the countertop.

In the living space of this Tesla camper, enjoy the 32-inch Smart TV, reclining free-standing seating that you can also use outdoors, and surround sound audio for movies and music. The free-standing reclining seats transform into a queen-sized bed that sits at counter-height with room underneath.

The camper also packs a bathroom into this compact vehicle. The bathroom has a radiant-heated porcelain floor, a recirculating shower that filters and recycles used water, and a dry-flush toilet. No black tank! Remote workers can hook up to StarLink satellite internet and use the TV as a monitor.

Pro Tip: If you’re not a Tesla owner, unfortunately, you will have to dump your black tank. Read more to find out How to Dump an RV Black Water Tank?

Is the Tesla Camper All Solar Powered?

The CyberLandr comes with 500 watts of solar power. Currently, the CyberLandr website says the power supply for the camper will come from the Cybertruck’s battery. Of course, all of these details remain estimates until the vehicles come out.

What Is the Range of the Tesla Cybertruck?

The range of the Tesla Cybertruck varies based on motors and drivetrain. For the single motor RWD version, the range is about 250+ miles. For the dual-motor AWD, the range is 300+ miles. Finally, for the tri-motor AWD option, the Tesla Cybertruck range is 500+ miles. Towing reduces the range by about 5%.

Can You Go Overlanding or Off-Road with the Tesla RV?

The Tesla camper won’t add extra height to the Cybertruck, so you’ll be able to take the CyberLandr anywhere you can take a truck. It also should be great for off-roading. The vehicle has adjustable air suspension you can raise and lower at any given moment for up to 16 inches of ground clearance.

When Will the Tesla Cybertruck Launch?

Tesla announced the Cybertruck in November 2019, with plans to go into production this year. However, recent announcements estimate the Cybertruck won’t begin production until late 2022. You can still place orders and customize your Cybertruck with a down payment of $100.

While the CyberLandr is not currently released, when it is it will be a game changer for the electric RV market.

How Much Does the Tesla Camper RV Cost?

The Tesla Camper costs about $50,000. According to HypeBeast, the company has already received $80 million in pre-orders. This leaves us to wonder whether the CyberLandr will come to fruition. Is this a smart investment? Only time will tell.

Are There Other Electric RVs on the Market?

The race to fully electric RVs is in full swing, with Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis proposing an upcoming “Electric World.” Camping World formerly partnered with a company called Lordstown Motors to produce an all-electric RV. The partnership disintegrated, and it’s unclear if the plans for their all-electric RV are still moving forward.

There are other electric RVs but no options in the U.S. market as of now. The world’s first fully-electric motorhome debuted in Germany in 2019 with a range of 124 miles on a single charge.

What the Tesla Camper Could Mean for the Future of RVing

The Tesla Camper isn’t the first electric RV, and we’re sure it won’t be the last. With other electric RVs already in production in other countries, it’s only a matter of time before we see the trend explode in the U.S.

Whether or not the CyberLandr (or Cybertruck) will actually go into production is anyone’s guess at this point. But we know this is just the beginning of exciting advancements in the world of electric RVs. Are you excited about the Tesla camper or any other electric RVs?
