Price: $75-$275 per night depending on the season and day of the week 

Santa Fe RV Park has a site to fit every need. All sites have 20 and 30-Amp electrical, water, and sewer. Some sites offer 50-Amp electrical as well. There are both back-in and pull-through sites.

Campers will enjoy a full laundry room as well as modern restrooms. There’s plenty to do on location as there’s a large recreation room, including a pool table. You’ll also find a complete kitchen, so you can have a home-cooked meal if your RV’s kitchen isn’t cutting it. After a day of fun, you can relax in the campground’s pool and hot tub. 

2. La Pacifica RV Park

Address: 1010 W. San Ysidro Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92173

Price: $38 per night

La Pacifica RV Park offers full hookup sites providing 15, 30, and 50 amp electrical. Cable and picnic tables are also available. Convenient, level pull-through sites make getting settled in a breeze. There are laundry facilities available on site.

Newly remodeled restrooms are useful for those who prefer not to use their RV’s bathroom. In the clubhouse, you’ll find games, couches, and a large TV with cable and a DVD player. The bus stop at the front of the park makes it easy to get around.

3. Mission Bay RV Resort

Address: 2727 De Anza Road, San Diego, CA 92109

Price: $80-$200 per night

Mission Bay RV Resort offers full hook-up campsites, making it a convenient and effortless option. There are four types of easy-access sites. Campers can choose between premium, preferred, supersize, and bay view campsites. There are 260 sites, accommodating everything from teardrop campers to large class A rigs.

Those who choose to stay at Mission Bay RV Resort will enjoy the secured gated entrance. Laundry facilities are available as well as clean, modern restrooms. A recreation room provides entertainment through a pool table, ping pong tables, air hockey, and a foosball table. Outside you’ll find basketball and pickleball courts. Guests get free Wi-Fi and cable.

4. Kumeyaay Lake Campground

Address: 2 Father Junipero Serra Trail, San Diego, CA 92119

Price: $22.66 per night

Those seeking weekend camping will be glad to find Kumeyaay Lake Campground. While this campground is only open on the weekend, the park is open for day use throughout the week. There are 46 campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also make reservations.

Camping at Kumeyaay Lake Campground is dry. Each campsite features a picnic table and fire ring. There are no hookups at individual sites, though there is a dump station to empty your tanks and get potable water. You’ll find modern restrooms, including showers. 

5. Campland on the Bay

Address: 2211 Pacific Beach Dr., San Diego, CA 92109

Price: $55 – $473 per night, depending on the season and site type

Campland has a campsite for every camping style. Campers can choose between dry camping, electric and water only, and full hook-ups. Each site features a picnic table and fire ring.

If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can book a supersite. The supersite provides a large gated site complete with your own hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor BBQ. You’ll also have a sink, shower, bathroom, and laundry. 

Campland is a true resort that serves as a complete destination on its own. On location, you’ll find a cantina, market, coffee shop, and ice cream parlor. There are two swimming pools as well as two hot tubs.
