The Best RVs For Men

The Best RVs For Men

You caught us. We’re doing some gender stereotyping. But let’s face it, most men like slightly different RV features than women.

We’re about to expose what they are and what that means for the types of RVs best suited for men.

Keep reading to see if you agree with our analysis.

Let’s dig in!

What Are Men Looking for in an RV?

Survey says men typically look for five main features and amenities on an RV. So let’s take a look at each of them.

Off-Road Capabilities

An RV with off-road capabilities can get you further off-grid and into the wild. A lot of men like the option of getting off the beaten path, whether it be in the mountains, desert, or forests. Having this ability affords for more rugged adventures and exploring.

And if you’re traveling with someone who prefers a relaxing beach camping trip, an off-road RV can also be useful. For example, beach boondocking on the Texas coastline calls for an awesome off-road RV.

Storage for Toys

If you’re into off-roading, biking, motorcycling, or paddling, you’ll want storage for your adventure toys. A toy hauler is the perfect type of RV for the man (or woman) who wants to take their favorite recreational toys along without adding bike racks or an extra trailer.

You can also find RVs with large outside storage compartments for a similar purpose.

Keep in mind: Toy Haulers are usually 5th wheels – here are the reasons you may want to avoid a 5th wheel RV.

Entertainment Features

Most men appreciate having entertainment while RVing. Whether it’s a TV to watch the game or a portable RV grill to cook outdoors, there are plenty of gadgets and gear to keep you entertained.

Having as many features built into your RV makes traveling easier and more convenient.

Space for Friends

What would a man’s RV trip be without friends? An RV conducive to having guests stay or cookout is an ideal option, along with entertainment features and toy storage.

A large fifth wheel is an excellent choice for hosting friends.

Tall Interior Height

Having an RV that you can stand up in can be a game-changer if you’re a tall man. Having to duck in a small camper for a week can ruin an otherwise fun vacation.

However, there are plenty of RVs on the market that can accommodate someone six feet or taller.
