We know that lots of little expenses can quickly add up. We’ve additionally learned along the way that some products are priceless in terms of making our lives easier.
So, we’ve put together a list of things we wouldn’t want to live without in our home on wheels. And the truth is, we’d probably even pay a lot more for them! These RV products will make your life easier and your wallet happy!

Over The Sink Drying Rack
Why You Need It: We probably don’t need to tell you that counter space is in limited supply onboard an RV. A drying rack takes up a lot of that precious resource. However, by putting it over the sink, you can create a lot more room for other uses, including meal preparation.
This RV product is a portable stainless steel rack that stretches out over the sink and rolls up for storage. It’s designed for air-drying dishes, glasses, and pots and pans. You can also use it to wash fruits and vegetables or to thaw out frozen foods. It’s sturdy and easy to clean.
Refrigerator Bars
Why You Need Them: This is definitely one of those RV products that will make you wonder how you survived without it. When you’re on the move, it keeps things in place inside your cabinets and refrigerator. It’s an adjustable, spring-loaded tension bar that works just like those rods that hold up a shower curtain.
You place it inside your fridge, so cans, jars, and bottles don’t topple over and spill. In the cupboard, it works great to secure lids, trays, and cutting boards. Don’t be surprised if you find more uses for them.

Soap Dispenser for Small RV Shower
Why You Need It: This is an easy way to reduce clutter and keep more things from rolling around. The dispenser mounts on the shower or bathroom wall and is great for soap and shampoo.
If you prefer, you could use the product for lotion or conditioner or even hand sanitizer instead. It installs on either the wall’s flat surface or in a corner and is easy to remove to refill or clean.
It’s available with one chamber or two, and each side holds 12.4 oz of liquid. We love it because it’s functional and looks nice, too.
Wrap Around RV Step Rug
Why You Need It: These cool rugs can help to sweep out dirt and sand or vacuum it up. You can easily attach the short-pile, natural-fiber rugs to your existing RV steps. In fact, you don’t need tools, screws, or glue. Simply wrap them around your steps and hook the springs into the holes.
Each rug measures 18” W x 17.5” L and is designed to fit steps with a tread of 8.5” to 10”. This RV product works great with manual steps or electric ones.
They provide nice traction, and dogs seem to love them, too!
Spice Jar Holder
Why You Need It: Containers of herbs and spices tend to roll around a lot or get lost in a drawer somewhere. These adhesive clips are really a great solution for keeping them within reach, and you can’t beat the price.
They’re designed to mount on the kitchen wall or cabinet door. Each of the three strips has four clips and is 8.75 inches. In addition, you can trim this RV product into different configurations so they’ll fit your space better. Another cool thing is that you can easily read the labels when your spice containers are all neatly lined up.
Note: These clips work best with lightweight plastic spice containers, not glass jars.
RV Water Heater Tank Rinser
Why You Need It: This RV product won’t save your life, but it could extend the life of your water heater. Sediment collects in the bottom of the tank over time, just through normal use, and it’s hard to remove. Or at least it was hard to clean out the sediment before this rinser tool came along.
You attach the rinser to a regular garden hose and insert it into the drain opening. It’s a narrow plastic tube that allows you to reach farther into the tank. It also has a smaller opening than a hose, so it has better water pressure.
You might be amazed at how much debris is inside your tank!
Portable Travel Clothesline
Why You Need It: We love this RV product because it’s a better spin on an old idea. Doing laundry is truly one of the RV life’s worst aspects, but this bungee-style clothesline is a big help. It’s elastic, and it stretches out up to 10 feet. It’s made of durable stainless steel, so it’s tough, sturdy, and won’t rust.
Maybe the best thing about it is the clip design, though. They hold the 12 clothespins in place so they don’t slide or glide to the center. This means your clothes will dry better.
It weighs only 7 oz and retracts when it’s not in use, so it doesn’t take up much space.
Egg Holder
Why You Need It: This one might seem unnecessary – until one morning when you’re hungry for breakfast and have nothing but broken eggs! It’s a hard plastic carrying case that holds a full dozen.
Your eggs won’t get crushed, you won’t go hungry, and you’ll have one less mess to clean up! This protective egg holder is certainly easy to open and close and clasps securely. The product also can stand sideways in the fridge so that it can be a space saver, too.
3-in-1 Sewer Hose Seal
Why You Need It: While laundry duty is never fun, it certainly beats emptying the black water tank. One of the common problems you can run into is not having a good seal, especially with old, worn-out connections.
That means that smells – and worse – can escape. Camco’s 3-in-1 adapter is a flexible fitting that makes a connection to a sewer inlet easier and more secure. This RV product works with threaded connections and non-threaded connections to prevent the need for a rubber donut adapter.
Another great thing is it won’t pop out of the drain hole while dumping. In addition, it has wings for easy removal, and you can attach a rope if you need to.
Camco Wheel Chocks
Why You Need It: Chocks are a necessity to keep your trailer in place, especially when you’re re-hitching. But lots of campers use homemade wooden chocks. They eventually rot and can be heavy as well, especially if they get waterlogged.
These lightweight plastic wedges can keep you from rolling away and don’t take up a lot of space. This makes them great to have on hand as “extras.” Each Camco chock weighs 1.5 pounds and is 8.4 x 6 x 5.1 inches.
Rhinoflex Sewer Hose Adapter Wrench
Why You Need It: Sometimes, it’s hard to connect or disconnect from a sewer connection, and this plastic wrench is designed for that purpose. This nice addition to your toolbox is compatible with any Rhino, Revolution, or Easy Slip bayonet or lug fitting. Simply attach the wrench to the fitting and turn to loosen or connect.
It’s great for tightening and loosening hard-to-turn fittings and disconnecting from sewer outlets and dump stations with minimal contact. As long as it’s compatible with your fittings, this handy RV product can make an unpleasant task a bit easier.

RV Water Bandit
Why You Need It: The Camco Water Bandit helps you attach your hose to water sources you wouldn’t otherwise be able to. The Water Bandit can attach to broken spigots, other hoses, spigots with stripped threads, and more. It helps you quickly attach to a water faucet or spigot and prevents leaks that come from loose or dirty connections and missing threads.
This device acts like a rubber quick-connect for your water hoses. It’ll fit any standard-sized spigot. It’s also useful for attaching to faucets. This device can help you fill your freshwater tank from places that might have been off-limits before, like sinks (if you have a long enough hose).
RV Dump Gloves
Why You Need It: Don’t get your hands covered in poop while you’re dumping RV tanks, have some gloves nearby. We don’t recommend these gloves as the best of the best. However, they’re so cheap that we recommend buying a box and throwing them in your outside storage compartment.
Buy one heavy-duty pair of gloves that fit your hands nicely for the dumping process. BUT…alway have this box of spare gloves in storage for backup.
At a measly five bucks, you won’t regret it. There’s nothing worse than a handful of dumping junk on your bare skin.
RV Black Tank Treatment
Why You Need It: While we’re on the subject of poop, let’s talk about RV Black Tank Treatment.
Your RV black tank is a glorified port-a-potty. You use the bathroom, flush the toilet with minimal water, and everything simply sits in a tank a few feet away from you.
Just like a port-a-potty, you need chemicals to help break down the solids and minimize the rancid smell of human waste.
Here’s the good news, tank treatment is easy, cheap, and best of all, it works.

RV Grab Handle
Why You Need It: Let’s be honest, RVs aren’t made with you in mind. They’re made for an “average” person who has 100% mobility and agility.
From RV steps to interior and exterior storage, you have to be an gymnast not to hurt yourself on something.
Thankfully, an RV Grab Handle can often solve these problems. You can install a grab handle on your exterior RV door, inside the shower, underneath the storage bay, or anywhere else you need a little extra leverage.
