We love beachside camping! But, we’ve never tried it in an urban environment before. Paradise By The Sea was the perfect resort to give urban, beachside camping a try.

It’s located just two-hundred yards from the Pacific Ocean, has 24 hour security and can accommodate all size rigs.

Location: Oceanside, California

GPS: 33.1797, -117.3663

Date / Temp: We camped here for 4 nights in mid November. The highs were in the 70s with lows in the 50s. The weather was quintessential SoCal comfort.

Amenities: This resort offers MANY amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor community area; it has lots of seating and large propane fire tables. There’s also a pool, hot tub, and laundry room onsite. Our favorite amenity is the amazing location; across from the lagoon and just a few hundred yards from the Pacific Ocean! 

Wifi / Cell: We received a 4G LTE signal with both AT&T and T-Mobile (using our WeBoost Cell Booster). The speeds were SUPER FAST.  The RV Resort also provides free wifi, as well.

Noise: The spaces are situated pretty close to each other, but we never noticed it being overly loud or noisy. There is also a commuter train that runs by the park. It, as well, never bothered us. If you’re sensitive to noise it may be in issue.

Grocery / Errands: Many gas stations & stores are within walking distance. And, within five miles, you can find any type of shopping you need.

Dog Friendly: The resort is dog friendly and has thoughtfully created areas for dog-walking and playing. They also provide doggy bags throughout the grounds.

Entertainment: We enjoyed walking to the beach, the strand, and the Oceanside Pier. Everything we wanted to do was so close that we only drove 20 miles during our entire stay. There are lots of dining options and tourist activities.
