We love Galveston Island and have stayed at some super luxurious RV parks in the area. Today we’re sharing 7 of the best! These range from state parks (with great nature vibes) to private RV resorts (with beautiful amenities).

Galveston RV Parks Amenities

Stella Mare RV Resort

Price: $44 and up

Why You’ll Love It: Talk about new and beautiful – Stella Mare is an absolute winner! Every single site is a huge concrete pad surrounded by lush, green grass.  Any rig should be able to fit at this campground.

The resort is walking distance to the Gulf of Mexico. In fact, it’s just across the street. The luxurious swimming pool has views of it from the deck.

In addition to the RV sites, Stella Mare offers vacation rentals for your non-RVing family members.

What’s The Word: Bud on Campendium says, “The park is very nicely done, with large, level, sites and easy access. Even on the bike weekend, there was very little noise. Management is friendly, and the campground hosts are always available to lend a hand.”

Galveston RV Parks Vibe: 8.7/10 Beautiful, new & centrally located. Perfect for a family vacation!

Galveston Island RV Resort

Price: $43 and up

Why You’ll Love It: Galveston Island RV Resort offers an immaculately clean facility with large RV sites (aka very big rig friendly). At the clubhouse you’ll find a pool, bathrooms, showers, and many outdoor games.

If you plan on visiting the park during off season (winter) they have lower daily & monthly rates. The resort also offers a Good Sam discount of 10%.

What’s The Word: Fulltime Swag on Campendium says, “I still can’t get over how clean this park is. It honestly looks brand new and they have been open for awhile…We have been on the road full time for 7 months and this might be our favorite park to date.”

Galveston RV Parks Vibe: 8.1/10 Great attention to detail!

Galveston Island RV Resort

Jamaica Beach RV Resort

Price: $48 and up

Why You’ll Love It: This RV resort has it all! Let’s start with the killer amenities: they have a lazy river, mini golf, infinity pool, bounce house, community kitchen, life size Jenga and more!

This is an ideal location for your family vacation. Once you get your share of the onsite amenities, simply walk across the street for Gulf of Mexico access.

What’s The Word: Meme & Cema on Campendium say, “This park is 10 min from Galveston, which we considered a positive to be just outside of the hustle and bustle. We had a great pull through site (because every site is a pull through site). In addition to the standard amenities, JBRV had a mini-golf course in the RV park that we played and thoroughly enjoyed.”

Galveston RV Parks Vibe: 9.1/10 Too many amenities to write about and great location!

Sandpiper RV Resort

Price: $50 and up

Why You’ll Love It: This is another Galveston RV Park that has direct beach access. Located in the city limits, it might be a little noisy…but, the location makes it easy to get around the island!

The resort amenities include an infinity swimming pool, hot tub, business center and meeting room. Don’t have an RV? No worries – Sandpiper RV Resort also offers guest rooms for rent.

What’s The Word: Henry on Campendium says, “…wonderful location near the beach and restaurants. You can walk along the shore or on the sidewalk on the main drag. The other really nice thing is their hot tub and infinity pool that look out toward the ocean.”

Galveston Island State Park

Price: $20 and up

Why You’ll Love It: If you’re looking for a peaceful RV experience, Galveston Island State Park will be your speed. This feels less like a concrete resort and more like a true camping trip.

Take note – the beachside part of the state park will be closed until 2022. The bayside will remain open. The sites have water & electric, but no sewer connection.

What’s The Word: Jodi on Campendium says, “We stayed at the bay side and had wonderful views of the water and marshes. Nice sunset, dark skies with lots of stars at night.”

Galveston RV Parks Vibe: 7.8/10 We love the nature vibes. If you need full hook ups, look elsewhere.

Dellanera RV Park

Price: $46 and up

Why You’ll Love It: With 65 full hookup sites and 1000 feet of sandy beach access, Dellanera RV Park will give you the true Galveston Island experience. While many other RV parks offer “nearby beach access” – Dellanera has literal beach front spots.

What’s The Word: Lisa on Campendium says, “Very close to beach! We could sit outside camper and watch the waves. Was only steps from ramp to beach. Staff were great and so nice”

Galveston RV Parks Vibe: 7.2/10 Best location, slightly dated facility.

Tiki Tom’s RV Park

Price: Approx $50

Why You’ll Love It: If you’re looking for an extended-stay RV park with great fishing, give Tiki Tom’s a try! This bay front park is surrounded by protected Grasslands – making it easy to relax and enjoy nature.

Tiki Tom’s offers marina access with boat slips and fish cleaning stations. All RV sites have full hook ups and there’s a workout room available, too!

What’s The Word: Gene on Campground Reviews says, “This is one of the nicest RV parks we have visited in our years of RVing. The groundskeeper seems to work 24/7 to keep the park spic and span. If he sees you on the way to the trash bin, he will take it off your hands and deposit it for you.”
