You also can’t go wrong with the matzoh ball soup. This deli doesn’t take reservations and can get pretty busy, but the food is worth the wait!

Pat’s King of Steaks, open 24/7, claims to be the home of the original cheesesteak. The sandwich shop is on the big screen in Rocky and the 1998 film Fallen. The restaurant has been open for over 90 years serving Philadelphia’s most iconic sandwich.

Brendan T. Byrne State Forest
Address: Mile Marker 1, Highway Route 72 East, New Libson
If you prefer a more primitive camping experience, Brendan T. Byrne State Forest may be a better fit. It’s just under an hour east of Philadelphia in New Libson, New Jersey. This campground has 82 tent and trailer sites with flushable toilets and showers within walking distance. There are no water or electric hookups at this campground. Campers enjoy hiking and biking on the park’s 25+ miles of trails.
