Best of all, the music scene in Key West is as lively as ever. As a winter chill settles over most of the country, people flock here from colder locations to enjoy perfect weather and fantastic tunes. Here are three of the island’s best festivals you’ll definitely want to check out.

RokIsland Festival
From January 17th to 20th, some of the biggest names in rock music will take over Key West. RokIsland 2024 is the third annual show. But organizers have had plenty of time to work out the kinks. In fact, the same folks put together all three of the festivals we’re talking about today.
This four-day event is a non-stop party. All shows take place between 5 and 11PM at the Truman Waterfront Park Amphitheater. It’s a 4,000-seat, open-air locale right on the Gulf of Mexico. You’ll have unbeatable views as you enjoy the most iconic rockers around.
However, you’ll find VIP parties all over the island during the day. Hotels, restaurants, bars, and other venues welcome Rokers when the sun’s up. There’s also a kickoff celebration on the 16th if you can’t wait to jam.
Past performers include Cheap Trick, Night Ranger, and Twisted Sister. This year’s lineup is even better, with headliners like Bret Michaels, Dee Snider, Stone Temple Pilots, and Jefferson Starship. Several of these, including Night Ranger, are back for an encore in 2024.
They offer seven different packages with perks like private parties and access to VIP tents.
Many are already sold out, but you can still purchase general admission tickets and single-day passes starting at $99.
Mile 0 Festival
If RokIsland Music Festival isn’t enough to satisfy your soul, consider sticking around Key West for another week. Starting January 23rd, Americana and red dirt musicians gather for five days of fun and sun at Mile 0.
This boutique event features intimate performances with well-known artists and up-and-coming talent. Headliners include Randy Rogers Band, Morgan Wade, and Shane Smith & the Saints. You’ll hear smaller names, such as Red Clay Strays, the Damn Quails, and Jason Eady, throughout the weekend. You just might find your new favorite act!
Again, the Truman Waterfront Park Amphitheater is the main venue. But some tickets include live music sails around the island, pool parties, and more. You’ll have access to merch tents and plenty of tasty food during the event.
Choose from one of four packages, including two VIP offers that each come with their own perks. Single-day passes start at $69, while the most economical five-day package is $499. However, if you want to get the most out of this party, you can purchase a Platinum Premier package starting at $2759. It includes accommodations, so it’s a great deal!
Key Western Fest
Finally, we have the island’s hottest country music extravaganza, Key Western Fest. It takes place from January 30th to February 3rd and features big names like Wynona Judd, Tanya Tucker, Jo Dee Messina, Lee Ann Womack, and Sara Evans.
Imagine kicking back in the sunshine and sipping your own glass of strawberry wine while listening to Deana Carter belt out her eponymous hit song from the 90s!
Like RokIsland and Mile 0, Key Western occurs at the Truman Waterfront Park Amphitheater. The gates open at four, and the party rages until midnight. During the day, you can catch acts at piers, beaches, pools, and bars around the island.
Again, you can choose from daily or weekly passes starting at $79. And, similar to the other events, organizers partner with local hotels to get you some of the finest rooms in Key West when you purchase a package. Other perks of the all-inclusive option are catamaran cruises, free chair rentals, and private parties.
Best Places to Stay Near Key West
If you choose to buy a pass instead of a package deal for any of these Key West music festivals, you’ll need to find a comfortable place to stay. Here are three great options to consider.
