If you’re all about that RV life, you know having the right gear can make or break your road trip vibes.
CAMCO, our ride-or-die brand, has some dope products, but not everything hits the mark.
Here’s the lowdown on the five best and worst CAMCO RV products.
The Best CAMCO RV Products
1. Camco RhinoFLEX Sewer Hose Kit
Why It’s Lit: This bad boy is an absolute game-changer for dumping your RV’s waste tanks. It’s tough, compact, and super easy to hook up. The pre-attached swivel fitting makes installation a breeze, and it’s built to take a beating from rough handling and wild weather.
No more worrying about leaks or durability issues, this hose is designed to handle whatever you throw at it. Talk about a ride-or-die accessory! Plus, it collapses down to a manageable size, making storage a piece of cake.
It’s the only sewer hose we’ll buy.

2. Camco TastePURE RV Water Filter
Why It’s Lit: Drinking safe water on the go is a no-brainer, and this filter delivers the goods. It kicks out the bad taste, odors, and all those nasty chemicals, so you get fresh, clean water wherever you roll. Hydration station, anyone?
This filter is super easy to install and replace, so you can stay hydrated without any hassle. Its high-flow rate means you won’t be stuck waiting forever for a glass of water, and it’s built to last through your wildest adventures. Perfect for keeping you and your crew healthy and happy on the road.
We’ve been using this filter for all nine years of living the RV life.

3. Camco Power Grip Camper/RV 50-Amp Voltage Protector
Why It’s Lit: Protect your RV’s electrical system from power surges and voltage drops with this beast. It’s easy to use and provides peace of mind by preventing costly damage to your appliances. Keep the juice flowing safely!
This voltage protector is like a guardian angel for your RV’s electronics, ensuring that you’re always powered up without the risk of frying your gear. With its clear, easy-to-read display, you can quickly check the status of your power connection.
It’s a must-have for any serious RVer who wants to avoid those electrical nightmares.
4. Camco Adjustable RV Shower Head
Why It’s Lit: Elevate your shower game with this adjustable showerhead. Multiple spray settings from gentle mist to power jet keep you fresh and clean. And that pause feature? Perfect for saving water when you’re off-grid.
This showerhead not only improves your RV bathroom experience but also helps you conserve water without sacrificing comfort. It’s easy to install and comes with a flexible hose, making it a versatile addition to your RV setup.
Whether you’re rinsing off after a day of hiking or just starting your morning right, this showerhead has got you covered.
5. Camco Camper/RV Gate Valve with Built-in Clear Adapter
Why It’s Lit: Keepin’ it clean has never been easier. This clear gate valve lets you see when the tank is totally flushed out. It’s built tough, so no leaks or funky smells are gonna mess with your flow. This valve’s transparent design means you can monitor the cleaning process and ensure everything is running smoothly.
Its durable construction provides a tight seal, preventing any nasty surprises. It’s a game-changer for anyone serious about maintaining a clean and efficient RV plumbing system.
The Worst CAMCO RV Products
1. Camco RV Roof Vent Cover
Why It’s Not So Great: Sure, it says it’ll keep the rain out and the air flowing, but this thing gets brittle and cracks faster than you can say “road trip.” Who wants to deal with leaks and constant replacements?
Not us.
The flimsy plastic material doesn’t hold up well against the elements, and over time, it just becomes another thing on your maintenance list. Investing in a more durable vent cover will save you time, money, and a lot of frustration down the road.
Better Option: MaxxAir 00-933066 Original Vent Cover – This one’s built to last and keeps the elements at bay while providing top-notch ventilation. It’s made from high-quality materials that can withstand harsh weather conditions, ensuring your RV stays dry and comfortable.
2. Camco Wheel Chocks
Why It’s Not So Great: Lightweight and cheap, but also kinda flimsy. They shift around on uneven ground or in windy conditions, and that’s a big nope for keeping your RV stable.
These chocks don’t provide the secure fit you need to feel confident your RV isn’t going anywhere. They might work in a pinch, but for long-term use, you’ll want something more reliable.
Sure, we’ve used them for a while because they’re cost-effective. But they’re not the end all be all.
Better Option: X-Chock Wheel Stabilizer – This one locks in place between your RV tires, giving you rock-solid stability. It’s designed to prevent tire shift and improve overall stability, making it a much better choice for keeping your RV secure.
3. Camco Water Bandit
Why It’s Not So Great: The concept is cool—connect your hose to any faucet. But the execution? Not so much.
It often leaks and reduces water pressure. Major buzzkill. The Water Bandit’s flexible silicone design sounds great, but in practice, it doesn’t create a tight seal, leading to annoying leaks and wasted water.
Almost every time we’ve used one, it’s blown off the end of the faucet.
Better Option: Honestly, there is no better option for this. The idea is novel, and the only way to improve it is to zip-tie the end of it to keep it from blowing off under pressure.

4. Camco RV Stabilizer Jack Pads
Why It’s Not So Great: These pads are supposed to stabilize your RV, but they often sink into soft ground or crack under heavy loads. Not cool.
They’re just not built to handle the weight and pressure of a fully loaded RV, especially on uneven terrain.
Better Option: Andersen Hitches Camper Leveler – Super sturdy and reliable on any surface. These will keep your RV level and steady. They’re easy to use, durable, and designed to handle the demands of RV life, giving you peace of mind wherever you park.
5. Camco Portable Propane Fire Pit
Why It’s Not So Great: Portable fire pits are great, but we think this one’s a fuel guzzler with an inconsistent flame. Plus, it’s bulky. No thanks. The flame control is iffy at best, and it burns through propane faster than we’d like.
It’s also not the easiest thing to pack up and take with you.
Better Option: Outland Living Firebowl 883 Mega Outdoor Propane Gas Fire Pit – More consistent flame, better fuel efficiency, and easy to transport. This fire pit provides a steady, reliable flame and is compact enough to take on all your adventures, making it the perfect companion for cozy nights under the stars.
And it just looks better at your campsite.
