Let’s hit it!

Country and Rock Music Festivals are a Great Time for All!
This November, countless music festivals will take place across the country. There’s something for every taste, from jazz to reggae. However, folks in the country, rock, and metal scenes will have more to look forward to than pretty much any other demographic.
Nearly every state in the US hosts at least one excellent festival, and many of these are family-friendly. But if you plan to take the whole crew to one or all of these events, we have a few tips to share.
Firstly, remember that music festivals can cause sensory overload in attendees of all ages. Bring along noise-canceling headphones and prepare to take a few breaks from the action throughout the day. You’ll also want to pack refillable water bottles and ensure everyone stays hydrated. Hats, sunscreen, and layered clothing are a good idea, too.
Finally, choose an easy-to-find location where everyone can meet if you’re separated. Wearing bright clothing that’s easy to spot should help you avoid losing sight of each other in the first place.
Now that you’re familiar with the basics of festivals with the fam, it’s time to dive into three fantastic music events happening in November!
#1 Dreamy Draw
Scottsdale, Arizona, lures in the finest names in the country scene on the first weekend in November. Dreamy Draw is an ode to Americana, offering a fantastic time for all attendees. Headliners include performers like Mt Joy, Lord Huron, and Shakey Graves. Roots, rock, and folk will all be represented.
Of course, there’s even more to love about this November music festival than rockin’ tunes. Food and beverage vendors will be out in full force, selling everything from mouthwatering barbecue to vegan fare. You can also enjoy craft beer, specialty cocktails, and tons of non-alcoholic sippers.
The Dreamy Trading Post is the ultimate shopping experience for festival-goers. Local artists sell hand-crafted jewelry, one-of-a-kind clothing, paintings, ceramics, and much more. In fact, the market serves as a tapestry weaving together the unique culture of the Scottsdale area. You can see how these crafters painstakingly assemble their pieces and get to know the artists in residence.
Dreamy Draw is an all-ages event hosted by the Scottsdale Civic Center. Best of all, kids under 12 get in for free.

#2 Dia De Los Deftones
Alt-metal band Deftones is a SoCal staple, so it’s only fitting they have their own eponymous music festival each November. The event takes place at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres.
For one day only, you can rock your face off to headliners like HEALTH, Duster, Paris Texas, and Sunny Day Real Estate.
When frontman Chino Moreno described the event, he said, “It’s like putting together a mix tape, but it’s a live show, and you can put different artists together in one live setting… It’s a well-rounded event that—even if we weren’t performing at it—I think we’d enjoy going to as music fans.”
The all-ages event promises to be a party for the whole family. We suggest donning your Day of the Dead makeup and preparing for fun in the sun!

Headliners include Zac Brown Band, Carrie Underwood, and Elle King. We hear that Diplo, under his country alter ego Thomas Wesley, will also appear at the 2024 event.
In addition to fantastic tunes, you can indulge in carnival rides and plenty of exciting weekend activities. Line dancing, bull riding, and beer drinking are all on tap. Don’t forget to taste delicious flavors from food vendors selling BBQ, funnel cakes, and vegetarian fare throughout the festival.
