We also ventured into the Saving Sharks exhibit, learning about conservation efforts and resisting the urge to hum the “Jaws” theme. Inside, we were greeted by walls adorned with vintage boards, photographs, and enough surfer lingo to make your head spin. Is Corpus Christi Safe?
In our experience, Corpus Christi felt safe and welcoming. Like any city, it has areas that are best avoided late at night, but we never felt uncomfortable during our explorations. The tourist areas are well-patrolled, and locals are generally friendly and helpful.
It’s wise to exercise common sense—don’t leave valuables in plain sight, lock your vehicle, and be aware of your surroundings. We parked our Sprinter Van in designated areas and had no issues. As for natural hazards, be mindful of weather alerts, especially during hurricane season, and respect wildlife when venturing into natural areas.
