Yosemite RV Resort in Coarsegold, CA: We Stayed, We Played

Traveling into Coarsegold, we had one goal: get as close to Yosemite as possible without giving up the comfort of our RV life. Yosemite RV Resort turned out to be just the spot.

Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, this place gave us the perfect launchpad for exploring the park, while still keeping it real with all the creature comforts.

Whether you’re an adventurer looking for a comfy base camp or just trying to find a peaceful retreat near Yosemite, this spot’s got you covered.

The Scoop on Yosemite RV Resort

Yosemite RV Resort is all about blending nature with convenience. The sites are spacious and shaded by tall oaks and pines, giving you a nice bit of privacy and a real sense of being in the outdoors without totally roughing it. Full hookups? Check. Pull-through sites? Check.

There are even some cute little cabins if you’re feeling like switching it up.

The resort has all the basics you’d expect—clean showers, laundry, and a camp store for those last-minute essentials. But here’s the kicker: they’ve got a pool and hot tub.

After a long day hiking in Yosemite, kicking back with a swim or a soak is exactly what you need to recharge. The whole place has a relaxed, friendly vibe, so it’s easy to feel at home while still being close to some of the most jaw-dropping nature in the world.

Address: 34094 CA State Highway 41, Coarsegold, CA 93614

Date / Temp: We spent four days during mid-November at Yosemite RV Resort and the weather was amazing throughout our entire stay. The daytime highs were in the 60s with lows in the upper 30s.

Amenities: Our site was private, level, and equipped with full hookups. This is a newly renovated, full-service resort with an excellent pool facility, brand-new fire pits, and some of the finest bathrooms we’ve seen!

Wifi / Cell: The park offers free wifi that easily reached our site. However, we used our T-Mobile hotspot because the speeds were blazing.

Noise: The sites at Yosemite RV Resort are spacious and semi-private; excessive noise was never an issue. Every camper and staff member we met was kind and respectful.

Grocery / Errands: Errands are easy to complete; the town of Coarsegold offers all the basics, and if you need something more, Oakhurst (8 miles) offers a larger shopping variety. If neither of those towns has what you need, your bound to find it in Fresno (35 miles).

Dog Friendly: The park is dog friendly and offers lots of space for walking. We saw a few dogs during our stay – all were leashed and well behaved.

Entertainment: The main entertainment at Yosemite RV Resort in Yosemite National Park, but we also found some great hiking trails nearby and awesome antique shopping just down the road.

One day we took a trip into Fresno and had our first Ethiopian dining experience – it tasted great and was a cool learning experience.
