After 30 days of boondocking, we were ready to live the life of luxury! Mountain Valley RV Resort was the perfect destination – located centrally for us to explore the Heber Valley and Salt Lake City area.
The resort has everything from tent camping sites to the largest concrete pull-though sites we’ve ever seen. You can view the rates here.
Here’s the Breakdown:
Location: Heber City, Utah
GPS: 40.4814, -111.4019
Date / Temp: We camped here for 4 nights in late August. The daytime temps were in the high 80s and nights were in the 50s. We didn’t get any rain during our visit – just blue skies with pretty clouds.
Amenities: This park offers more amenities than we can list! Our site was a back-in with full hookups, but most sites are concrete pull throughs. Our favorite amenity was the 21+ pool & hot tub… in fact, the whole “Phase Two” section of the Resort it 21+. Phase One also offers a family friendly pool, hot tub, play ground and basketball courts.
The bathrooms are pristine – each is private with its own private shower.
Wifi / Cell: We received 4G LTE with both AT&T and T-Mobile. The park offers complimentary wifi with speeds of 3MBps up & down.
Noise: This resort is pretty popular and most sites are occupied. During the weekend there was noise of kids playing and families gathering. We were never bothered by the noise, but we assume Phase Two stays much more quiet.
Grocery / Errands: Downtown Heber City is only a mile away and offers everything we needed for basic errands. There’s a Walmart, Smith’s, restaurants, and locally owned retailers. We enjoyed the Thursday evening Farmers Market, as well!
Dog Friendly: Mountain Valley Resort is dog friendly – in fact, they have a HUGE dog park and many doggy-waste-stations located throughout.
Entertainment: We loved the hiking located nearby. We explored the waterfall trail in Sundance and hiked Mirror Lake in the national forest. There’s a lot of entertainment in Park City & Salt Lake City, both a short drive away. We barely made a dent in exploring the area!
