7 Best RVs at the Hershey RV Show
The Hershey RV Show is happening. From September 11th to 15th you can visit the largest RV Show in America and find the best RV for you!
We know its fun to window shop – walking through hundreds of RVs, admiring (or throwing shade at) each unit. But, it would be almost impossible to survey every rig on the floor.
Today, we’re giving you a head start. These seven RVs (and corresponding manufacturers) are the cream of the crop. They may not be the most affordable; however, in our eyes, they’re the absolute best!
Before we dive in, let’s take a look at the size of the Hershey RV Show.

Hershey RV Show Crowds
Hershey RV Show Stats
The Hershey RV Show is called the “largest RV show in America” for good reason – it occupies just under one million square feet! In other terms, that’s 33 football fields. We recommend wearing your most comfortable walking shoes!
The show brings in over 64,000 people, quadrupling the population of Hershey, PA during the show weekend.
35 RV manufacturers will be displaying their newest models and 161 vendors will be selling aftermarket RV upgrades and services.
The 7 Best RVs by Manufacturer
Below is our list of the 7 most amazing RVs at the Hershey Show. They’re listed by manufacturer – this way you can easily plot out your path on the showroom map.
Let’s dive in!
Airstream | Nest & Basecamp X
Airstream has taken note from the consumer; small, portable RVs that can go off-road are all the rage among younger RVers. At the Hershey RV Show you’ll be able to view two of Airstream’s small trailer options.
Airstream Nest
Price: Starting around $47,000
Why We Love It: Quality, baby! The molded fiberglass shell is made of only three pieces. That’s not a lot of entry points for water. I know leaks aren’t a huge concern for brand new RVs…but, give it a few years and it’ll be a problem for most. The Airstream nest alleviates those leakage concerns and is built to last the test of time.
Secondly, Airstreams hold their value better than any other RV manufacturer. Sure you’ll pay more upfront. However, you’ll have much more value left in the RV five years from now.
Airstream Basecamp X
Price: starts around $39,000
Why We Love It: The Basecamp X is a brand new, upgraded package. It’s designed for maximum off-road capability with the classic Airstream comforts.
The Basecamp X package includes a 3″ lift kit, steel front rock guard, solar front window protection. Goodyear All-Terrain tires and Black Shadow wheel design.
Justin Humphreys, COO of Airstream adds this:
Generally speaking, the Basecamp appeals to the buyer who wants to go a little further off the beaten path…the Basecamp buyer boondocks more than any of our other categories and likes the rugged features and storing capabilities of the product.
Newmar Corporation | New Aire
Newmar is know as a luxury brand within the RV community. They use beautiful materials and have great attention to detail. We’re anxiously awaiting the public release of the Newmar Super Star (a super-c RV). Until the, the New Aire is our favorite unit in their collection.
New Aire
Price: starting around $395,000
Why We Love It: The New Aire is Class A luxury to the max. Starting with the exterior paint job, this RV is well above industry standards in quality and aesthetics.
The 2020 units have grown a bit in length – New Aire is now 35′ long. The added size makes it easy to include the walk through bath area with a large 40” X 32” glass enclosed shower.
Newmar brags on their features with this snippet:
The 2020 New Aire represents the next level of luxury travel. Its generous exterior storage compartments are finished with protective cargo liners, and power storage trays are available on select floor plans. For added convenience, you’ll find a keyless entrance door with a touchpad and a doorbell.
Grand Design RV | Momentum Toy Hauler 397th
Grand Design manufactures amazing 5th wheels. Many of our RVing friends have these and we’re always envious of the size, quality and storage! The Momentum Toy Hauler gives you all that and more.
2020 Momentum Toy Hauler 397th
Price: Starting around $105,000
Why We Love It: This 5th wheel has a huge garage! In fact, the garage is 12’6″ long. You can easily haul your ATVs in it. Once you set up camp, the holding tanks will keep you off-grid for a while. The fresh water tank is 157 gallons and the waste tanks are over 100 gallons.
The overall length is 43′. One of our favorite aspect of this RV is its many windows. If you want an all-season unit, Grand Designs offers the Weather-Tek package. It includes: fully enclosed & heated underbelly storage, enclosed & heated low point drains, attic vent and insulated plumbing.
Leisure Travel Vans | 2020 Unity
Earlier this year, at RVX in Salt Lake City, we toured many of the LTV units. The Unity stood out to us for many reasons – but, honestly, we love all of their Class B+ RVs.
2020 Unity
Price: starting at $134,000
Why We Love It: These RVs pack in a lot of luxury into a small space. LTA offers six different floor plans. Our personal favorite it the Muphy Bed layout.
There’s a lot of technology in this Unity. In fact, Dometic is using Leisure Travel Vans as the brand to implement its latest innovations. Two of our favorite Dometic innovations are in this particular model.
Here’s how Leisure Travel Vans describes it:
The all-new Dometic IoT Solution allows users to control and monitor their RV’s components with the touch of their finger. Six touchscreens are conveniently located throughout the coach which control and monitor the RV’s electrical components including lighting, climate control, awnings, water heater and tanks, water pump, batteries, inverter status, and LP Gas.
ALiner Columbia Northwest | Ascape
The Aliner brand offers extremely small and lightweight trailers, perfect for the weekend camper. We’re excited about their Ascape – one of the easiest to two in the bunch.
Price: around $22,000
Why We Love It: It only weighs 1495 lbs. This means, there’s a good chance you won’t need to buy a big truck to tow it. Also, at 13 ft long, you can park it with ease.
Here are some of the feature – Dexter independent torsion axle, solid hard wood cabinets, AC & furnace and outdoor shower.
Winnebago | View
Winnebago is one of the most well-known brands among RVs. They make it all – Class A, B, C, and trailers. Today we’re featuring our favorite unit – the View!
2020 Winnebago View
Price: around $135,000
Why We Love It: The Mercedes chassis is a perfect foundation for this well built RV. At 25′ long, you can park it with ease at a campground or Walmart. We love that Winnebago offers a lithium battery option, as well as a solar package.
RVs will become more off-grid capable in the years to come – its great that Winnebago is leading the way.
Here’s what Winnebago has to say about the View:
We’ve partnered with Mercedes-Benz, known worldwide for its commitment to technology, safety and innovation, to introduce the all-new View. Outfitted with the new 10” MBUX infotainment system with AI voice interface, as well as advanced safety features, like brake assist and blind spot monitoring, the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Chassis assures your next adventure will be as safe as it is comfortable.
