Where is Meghan Trainor’s House (and Can You See It?)

Meghan Trainor’s house is a quintessential Hollywood mansion with high-end features and perfectly manicured property.

But where is it, and more importantly, can you see it if you visit the City of Angels?

We have all the details about this megastar’s exclusive estate. But you’ll probably want to visit some other great attractions in the area, so keep reading.

Let’s roll!

About Meghan Trainor

Pop star Meghan Trainor is famous for hit songs like All About That Bass and Lips Are Movin’. Her upbeat, high-energy music celebrates self-love and female empowerment.

Trainor grew up on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. She’s a lifelong musician and wrote her first song at 11. By her eighteenth birthday, the artist had self-produced three albums. Before her hit singles hit the airwaves, she received multiple awards for songwriting and performance.

In the summer of 2014, All About That Bass cemented her success. The song spent eight weeks in the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. The album went on to go platinum five times over.

Where Is Meghan Trainor’s House?

In 2020, Meghan Trainor purchased a $6.6 million house in Encino, a posh Los Angeles suburb with a small-town feel. The city of 33,000 people is also home to celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, and Selena Gomez.

Encino has a reputation as an upscale, urban retreat. Real estate is in high demand, and the median home price is over one million dollars. Great schools and low crime mean those who can afford the price tag flock to the area.

The neighborhood lies in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. It’s west of LA and just north of Santa Monica.

About Meghan Trainor’s Encino Mansion

Trainor bought the property from rapper Doug Jordan, who goes by the moniker TMG Fresh. Jordan completed extensive home renovations in the two years he owned it.

The house is as glitzy and dazzling as the pop star herself. Colorful LED lighting spans the property inside and out, so each area has its own ambiance. Outside, there’s a pool, hot tub, basketball court, and a terraced garden.

And the indoor features are even better. Meghan Trainor’s house has a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, an arcade, and a private recording studio. A two-story guest house also sits on the property.

But if you’re hoping to catch a glimpse of the home, you’re out of luck. The property is heavily fortified with ten-foot gates, towering privacy hedges, and extensive security measures, so don’t get your hopes up.

Best Hikes Near Encino

While you can’t ogle Meghan Trainor’s house up close, there are plenty of other sights to enjoy near Encino.

You might be surprised to find some excellent hiking trails in one of the country’s largest metropolitan areas. Here are two of our favorites.

Caballero Canyon Trail

The Caballero Canyon Trail takes hikers on a 5.4-mile loop spanning the Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway and Topanga State Park. On average, it takes about two and a half hours to walk.

It’s a moderately strenuous trek through the Santa Monica mountains. You won’t find much relief from the sun, so you’ll want to bring sunscreen and a hat. Hikers and mountain bikers are welcome, but pups need to stay behind.

Upper Canyonback Trailhead

The Upper Canyonback Trail is an excellent option for a more leisurely expedition. This out-and-back route takes visitors through San Vincente Mountain Park. It’s three miles and takes about an hour and a half to complete.

Fortunately, your precious pups can join you on this hike if you keep them leashed. You’ll catch excellent views of the LA skyline in the distance. Like the Caballero Canyon Trail, the landscape is mainly open, so bring sun protection.

Best Camping Near Encino

Just like hiking, camping probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Los Angeles. But you’ll find plenty of great options in the same neighborhood as Meghan Trainor’s house.

Malibu Creek State Park

Locals call Malibu Creek State Park the Yosemite of Southern California. One look at the stunning, diverse scenery will show you why.

Over 8,000 acres of rolling plains and soaring volcanic peaks form the backdrop for some of cinema’s most striking landscapes. M*A*S*H and Planet of the Apes were filmed here, along with dozens of other shows and movies.

You can tent camp or RV on these hallowed grounds with a reservation, so check the park’s website before you pack your bags.

Hollywood RV Park

The Hollywood RV Park in Van Nuys has an air of movie magic. It’s family-owned and caters to all crowds, whether you’re in town to work on a set or just to see the sights. The property has many murals honoring some of the greatest films to come out of Tinseltown.

You’ll have access to full hookups, showers, and laundry facilities. There’s also free WiFi and a gym on the premises.

Guests can stay for a night or book by the month. Just be sure to make a reservation, as this is one of the most popular campgrounds in the area.

Is a Road Trip to Meghan Trainor’s House Worth It?

Unfortunately, you won’t get to see much if you make this trip. But if you’re in Southern California and need a break from the traffic, it’s still worth a pit stop in Encino. The San Fernando Valley has plenty of natural scenery to help you escape the grind.

But you don’t have to sit poolside at Meghan Trainor’s house to take a load off. Rolling mountains and generous sunshine should do the trick. And the best part is those things are totally free!
