Let’s hit it!

About February’s Rock Festival Lineup

While much of the country is enduring the coldest temperatures of the year, more temperate climates are beginning to heat up. From the desert Southwest to Florida’s Gulf Coast, musicians will light up stages and lay down the jams at music festivals throughout the month of February.

Best of all, several of these parties are within reasonable driving distance of one another. And since there’s at least a week between each show, you can schedule time to explore on your way to and from.

We can’t think of a better way to shake off the cold than a musical tour through the desert.

No matter which of these events you choose to hit, you’re sure to have a great time! So, without further ado, here are five of the best music festivals around the country in February 2024.

#1 Gem and Jam

The Gem and Jam Music Festival descends upon Arizona on the first weekend of February. It takes place alongside the beloved Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase, an event that draws thousands to the state each year.

Gem and Jam features some of the biggest names in electronica, jam-band, and fusion sounds. This year’s headliners include Lettuce, Spafford, and the Disco Biscuits. In the past, groups like String Cheese Incident have taken the stage here.

But there’s more to this event than music. You might mellow out with a meditation workshop, find your flow in a yoga class, or admire mind-bending art installations. However you choose to spend the weekend, you’ll find plenty of good vibes.

Head to the Pima County Fairgrounds from February 2nd through 4th to delve into this one-of-a-kind occasion. There’s free walk-in tent camping if you leave your car at home, or you can purchase an RV site or even a glamping pass to stay your way.

Tickets for the music festival start at around $185.

#2 Super Bowl Music Fest

If you’ve ever watched the Super Bowl halftime show and wished it’d last a whole weekend, you need to get tickets to this February music festival.

Football fans and music lovers will all have something to celebrate from February 8th through 10th. In the days leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, major musicians from rap, R&B, rock, and EDM will throw down in Sin City.

You might even find yourself jamming out next to the top football players in the country.

While information on this star-studded event is limited, we know from previous years that they don’t skimp on entertainment. Past performers include Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, Ludacris, Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, Dave Matthews Band, Imagine Dragons, Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani.

Bud Light sponsors the event and tends to keep the lineup under wraps until the very last minute. But nearly 41,000 folks attended the first one in 2019, and another five million streamed the shows online. It’s safe to assume that whoever ends up performing will be huge, so go ahead and book your tickets.

#3 Gasparilla Music Festival

Meanwhile, swashbucklers on the other side of the country will be gearing up for one of Florida’s best February music festivals. Pirate enthusiasts come together each year from January to March to celebrate Gasparilla. This annual Tampa Bay tradition commemorates the bold buccaneers of the past with parades and other revelries.

One of the newer additions is the Gasparilla Music Festival. You can take part in the fun during the weekend of February 16th at Julian B Lane Riverfront Park.

Headliners include Louis the Child, Big Gigantic, Lake Street Dive, and Young the Giant. Other notable artists like Digable Planets, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Rebirth Brass Band highlight the variety in their programming.

With five stages, a food area featuring world-renowned chefs, a beer garden, and a vendor’s market, you’re bound to enjoy yourself. You can even participate in special events like the Silent Disco. Grab your headphones and tune into one of three different DJs spinning their own unique sets.

Single-day passes start at $45. If you want to upgrade your experience, consider getting a Rock-It Club VIP pass for added perks like unlimited free drinks!

#4 Innings Festival

Back in Arizona, the creators of Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits are putting on one of their newest endeavors. As its name implies, the Innings Festival blends Billboard chart-toppers with Major League Baseball players.

This two-day music festival begins February 23rd, coinciding with spring training. You’ll not only enjoy live performances by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hozier, Third Eye Blind, Greta Van Fleet, and more, but you’ll also get the chance to rub elbows with MLB stars like Ryan Dempster, Matt Kemp, and Andre Ethier.

Of course, you can snag a classic ballpark hot dog while you’re here. However, you won’t be limited to stadium snacks. Restauranteurs showcase the best flavors of the Southwest, no matter your dietary preferences.

Innings takes place at Tempe Beach Park, overlooking the Salt River. Prices start at $160 for a single-day pass. But if you want to show off your big-baller status, book a cabana for a cool $17,000.

If this extravaganza leaves you wanting more, consider sticking around for another week to see performers like Dave Matthews Band, Cheryl Crow, Chris Stapleton, and the Gin Blossoms at Extra Innings.

#5 Fort Worth Music Festival

Our final February music festival takes us to the Lone Star State. This event isn’t just a huge concert. It’s also a networking opportunity for folks in the biz.

In fact, the Fort Worth Music Festival and Conference is the place to be for up-and-coming artists searching for their big break. When you’re not listening to legendary musicians belting it out on stage, you can join discussion panels and Q&A sessions with industry experts.

Of course, we can’t forget the main reason people love this event. For plenty of folks, it’s all about the music. Headliners for 2024 include William Clark Green, Band of Heathens, Ben Kweller, and the Nude Party.

All this excitement occurs at venues around the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. Iconic establishments like Billy Bob’s Texas, White Elephant Saloon, and the Love Shack will host entertainers for all four days.

The Fort Worth Music Festival occurs from February 28th to March 2nd. General admission tickets start at $70 for two days. However, they offer several special packages for musicians and other folks in the industry, so be sure to find the right one for you.

Are February’s Music Festivals Worth It?

After a long, cold winter, you deserve to spice things up with a world-class sonic experience. Whether you want to shake your booty with pirates, brush shoulders with MLB legends, or admire ancient sparkling specimens, you can do it while enjoying incredible tunes.

When you’re planning your February itinerary, add one of these music festivals to your calendar. You won’t be disappointed!
