Many people come to Nevada’s most populous metropolis for a weekend of debauchery. But Sin City is also great for families. You don’t have to drink yourself silly and lose a bunch of money to find the best of what this glitzy town has to offer.
Founded in 1905, it would be another 26 years before developers turned it into what it is today. With all the new spots, it’s easy to forget the humble beginnings. But the oldest establishment, the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, built in 1906, still operates on Fremont Street.

No matter what kind of activities you’re looking for, you’ll find them here. You can also get out in nature, just a short drive from the bustling city limits. For instance, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is about 30 minutes from the Strip. A little further out is the gorgeous Valley of the Gods State Park.
You certainly won’t run out of things to do while visiting the Entertainment Capital of the World. Depending on how you travel to Las Vegas, you’ll have countless choices of places to stay, including RV parks. Most are within a short walk or cab ride from the top attractions in town.
Terrific RV Parks Near Sin City
Sin City has more than just swanky hotels to stay in when you visit this desert playland. Las Vegas is home to several great RV parks, too. We’ll share seven of the best we know about.
Note: We’re using the Bellagio Hotel and Casino as the center point for the Strip when calculating drive times.
#1 Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort
The tropical Casablanca theme at this Las Vegas RV park will make you feel like you’re truly in an oasis. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with the whole family, everyone will enjoy their time here.
Multiple pools, including one strictly for adults, an 18-hole putting course, and beautiful landscaping provide a perfect place to relax during the day. When you want to head out for a fun night, the Strip is about 20 minutes away.
Spacious paved full-hookup sites are suitable for nearly any size rig. Choose from back-in or pull-through spots depending on your parking preference.
Rates range from about $70 to $110 per night. They also honor many discount programs, and we recommend contacting their office to see which you might qualify for.
#2 Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort
Luxury isn’t always a word used when describing RV parks, but the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort is all about it. The facility has five pools, hot tubs, a fitness center, and pickleball and tennis courts to enjoy during your stay.
You won’t have to go far when you want to hit the town and check out the city lights. It’s a short 20-minute drive away from casinos and nightlife on the Strip. Fremont Street and all its fun attractions is also an easy place to get to from the resort.
Over 400 sites offer full hookups and plenty of space to spread out. Other amenities include an on-site restaurant, laundry facilities, and a dog run.
Rates start around $135 per night, with weekly and monthly discounts available. One thing to note is that only Class A motorhomes are allowed. Trailers and fifth wheels will have to look elsewhere.
#3 Desert Eagle RV Park
At the north end of Las Vegas is the Desert Eagle RV Park. While it’s not open to the general public, this spot may be perfect if you’re active or retired military personnel.
Located on Nellis Air Force Base, the park has 226 sites, most offering full hookups. In addition, you’ll find multiple on-site restaurants to choose from. It’s a little farther out from the Strip at about 30 minutes away.

The 11,000-square-foot Warrior Fitness Center includes several basketball courts, weight lifting equipment, and an indoor running track and pool. You’ll be able to comfortably work out when the desert sun makes it too hot to go outside.
One thing is for sure. You won’t find a cheaper place to stay while visiting Sin City in your RV. Nightly rates start around $25.
#4 Las Vegas RV Resort
The Las Vegas RV Resort offers nearly 400 large sites suitable for rigs of all sizes. One catch is they only allow guests 18 and older to stay on their property. So, if you’re traveling without kids, this spot may be right up your alley.
While this park might not have all the glamor of others on our list, you’ll still enjoy plenty of great on-site amenities. A pool, spa, and fitness center are available during your visit.
You won’t have far to drive to access most attractions in town. The Strip and Fremont Street are about 20 to 30 minutes away. Additionally, Hoover Dam is a little over a half hour from this Las Vegas RV park.
It’s hard to beat this resort’s affordable nightly rates, which start around $40 for full hookup sites. Good Sam and military discounts are also available.
#5 Hitchin’ Post RV Park Las Vegas
The Hitchin’ Post RV Park claims to have everything you want in a Las Vegas resort. That sure seems to be the case when you check out their reasonable rates and amenities. This one, too, is about a 20 to 30-minute drive from the Strip.
With nearly 200 spots offering extra wide and longer paved sites, your big rig will fit comfortably. And, no matter what time of year you visit, you can use their heated pool.
The on-site saloon and gaming center will keep you and your crew entertained. So you won’t have to leave the premises to get a bite to eat or quench your thirst.
Not only do they have a dog run, but there’s also a pet wash area where you can scrub down your pups after a day of play. And speaking of cleaning up, you can use their large 36-machine laundry facility during your visit.
Nightly rates begin at around $60. Don’t forget to ask about their Good Sam membership discount.
#6 Las Vegas KOA Journey at Sam’s Town Journey
Staying at this Las Vegas RV park makes you feel like you’re on the Strip. You’ll be a short walk from Sam’s Town Casino Resort, where you can gamble, go bowling, or catch a movie. Getting to the center of the Strip will be about a 30-minute drive.
This KOA has 287 full-hookup sites, many featuring patios and furniture to lounge. Choose from several parking options, including pull-through, back-in, and nose-in. No matter what size rig you have, you’ll find a spot to suit your needs.

You can access pools, hot tubs, a community BBQ area, and picnic spaces during your visit. And, if you run out of necessities, the camp store will likely have what you need.
Rates start around $75 per night. They also offer military and weekly discounts.
#7 Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort
And finally, our last suggestion for an excellent Las Vegas RV park is Thousand Trails. The company has a reputation for stylish and comfortable resorts. And their campground, about 25 minutes from the Strip in Sin City, is no exception.
Enjoy views of the surrounding mountains while splashing in the pool or soaking in the hot tub. You’ll also be able to do laundry during your visit, so you can have clean clothes for your nighttime excursions.
Pups will appreciate the dog run and pool just for their use on sunny days.
Thousand Trail members can stay for free. Otherwise, rates per night start around $50 without a club discount.
(Dis)Honorable Mention: RV Park at Circus Circus
If you want to stay on the Strip, the Circus Circus Casino does have an RV park on-site. However, you may be trading location for quality, as it gets a range of 3 to 3.5 stars at various review sites. Reviewers on Campendium complain about it needing an update, being overpriced, and regularly blowing fuses.
But, if you don’t want to drive or Uber to the Strip, this is the only RV park there. That said, it’s at the far north end, so getting to the Bellagio is still a 13-minute drive.
The spot has typical amenities with 30 and 50-Amp full hookups and can fit a 40-foot RV. You can also access the hotel’s pool, slides, and Splash Zone for $10 per person per day.
