Can The New Ford Bronco Tow an RV?

Can The New Ford Bronco Tow an RV?

The 2021 Ford Bronco debuts this month after a hiatus of a decade and a half! The last Bronco rolled off the assembly line on June 12, 1996.

The release of the 2021 Bronco is a highly anticipated event of one of the most iconic SUVs in American history. And, if you’re anything like us, you’re probably wondering: can the new 2021 Ford Bronco tow an RV?

At Drivin’ & Vibin’, we were among the first to break the news of Tesla Cybertrucks RV towing ability, and we’re excited to take a more in-depth look into the new Ford Bronco, too.

Let’s dig through the deets and find out:

Ford’s Bronco R race prototype debuts in the desert to celebrate 50th anniversary of Rod Hall’s historic Baja 1000 win, an overall victory in a 4×4 that’s never been duplicated in 50 years.

Ford Bronco Release Date

The new 2021 Ford Bronco will be debuted on July 13, 2020. Ford has partnered with Disney and will be debuting the new lineup of Bronco SUVs across Disney’s media networks in the U.S. on channels such as ABC, ESPN, Nat Geo and Hulu.

This highly anticipated debut of one of the most iconic American SUVs ever made is only a few short days away!

In a recent statement, Ford’s COO Jim Farley says, “Ford Bronco is an icon that has captured people’s imaginations and inspired them to explore the most remote corners of America and the world since the 1960s. As a new era for Bronco begins, we’re proud to tap the strengths of epic adventurers like Jimmy Chin and Disney storytellers to help bring Bronco to life and inspire millions of people to get out into the wild.”

Current Available Specs

While we don’t know everything about the 2021 Ford Bronco, here are the current speculative specs.

The 2021 Ford Bronco will feature a 2.3L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 310 horsepower, 350 ft-lb of torque, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and either an AWD or 4WD drivetrain.

The new Ford Bronco is expected to be available in 2 and 4-door models, like previous versions.

The new Ford Bronco’s main competitor is expected to be the Jeep Wrangler, and similar to the Wrangler, the new Bronco is expected to have a removable top and doors.

While not much is known about the interior, it will likely be sporty and spacious.

Can The 2021 Ford Bronco Tow an RV?

If you’re wondering if the new Bronco will be able to tow an RV, the answer is yes… but probably not a very big one. While we don’t know the exact towing capacity, the new Ford Bronco will likely not be able to tow anything over 5,000lbs – but the good news is there are several lightweight RVs on the market today!

The 2021 Bronco will be ready to go off-roading, so you’ll need an RV to match! The original Ford Bronco’s of the 60’s and 70’s are the most popular to this day – likely due to their legendary off-roading capability.

The new Bronco is expected to offer both style and excellent off-roading capabilities, so if you want to pull a camper – be sure your camper can keep up!

The TAXA Mantis would make an excellent RV to pull behind the new Ford Bronco. With a dry weight of just 2,882 pounds, it will likely be well within the towing capacity of the 2021 Bronco.

The TAXA mantis is a perfect off-road, rugged RV that keeps up with the expected off-road capability of the new Bronco, while accommodating you, your gear, and your family.
