There are three XLR Micro Boost travel trailer units and two XLR Micro Boost fifth wheels. These are smaller versions of the XLR Boost. 

The larger travel trailer option comes in four floor plans and four fifth-wheel units. These XLR Boost fifth wheels range from 35 feet 3 inches to 45 feet 2 inches in length.

Who Makes the XLR Toy Hauler?

One of the leading manufacturers in the RV industry, Forest River, makes the XLR Boost toy hauler. They own numerous travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and Class A and C motorhome brands such as Berkshire, Cedar Creek, Sierra, and Vengeance.

Their models have won several awards. For example, the Wildcat and Sabre fifth wheels were named the “2021 Must-See RV” by RV Business. The Cardinal fifth wheel won the “2022 Full Profile Fifth Wheel of the Year” by RV News. RV Pro named the No Boundaries travel trailer 2022’s “Best New Model.”

About the XLR Boost 5th Wheel

Three of the four floor plans feature two slide-outs. The 37TSX13 has a third slide out in the living area for additional space. They all feature an RV king-sized bed in the main bedroom and a full bathroom. The garage space ranges from 11 feet in the 35DSX11 model to 16 feet in the 36TSX16 model. 

You’ll certainly need a heavy-duty truck to tow these XLR Boost fifth wheels as the UVW, which is the empty, unloaded weight, is 9,600 lbs in the lightest model, the 32RZR14.

Specs

The hitch weight, which should be less than the payload capacity of your truck, ranges from 2,195 lbs to 2,705 lbs. Fifth wheel toy haulers are designed to transport heavier weight than traditional fifth wheels. Therefore, the cargo-carrying capacity of these XLR Boost models ranges from 3,287 lbs to 5,743 lbs. Finally, three models have a 76-gallon black water tank, while the 32RZR14 only holds 38 gallons.

Features

Although the four XLR Boost fifth wheel floor plans are a bit different, they each feature a patio deck in the rear and a fireplace in the living area. They also have a heated underbelly with enclosed holding tanks which are great for winter camping. The kitchen features a deep stainless steel sink with a pull-down sprayer. The residential, seamless countertops make food prep easy.

The longest unit, the 36TSX16, features a 16-foot garage space with opposing sofas, a half bath, and a HappiJac bed. You could easily renovate this space into a kids’ room because of the ample sleeping space and huge floor for a play area. 

The 37TSX13 also has a large 13-foot garage with a loft storage area in addition to the two sofas, a half bathroom, and a HappiJac bed. This model also features a third slide out and kitchen peninsula.

What Are the Benefits of an XLR Boost 5th Wheel?
